[ Eren, you fool. You're playing on his field now! Far from standing still and waiting for Eren to close the distance, the harpy turns tail to make an escape in the distraction with a delighted HONK HONK HONK howngkh--

The mocking cries are suddenly somewhat strangled as something forces itself into the fowl foe's mouth--it wasn't at all expecting the fuzzy little hostage to take action, let alone with just a pretty ribbon from the picnic basket. Bendy may be small, but he's not a fan of playing the damsel. He much prefers a game of cowboy!

The harpy squawks and thrashes about, attempting to shake off Bendy's makeshift reins, while the little demon himself is doing his best to keep his grip and get control of this bucking bronco birdie. ]

[ the fool is a goose, who underestimated a good bean!!!!! (and how fast eren could book it the second the harpy chose its fate). he’d love to let the feisty hyena turnskin have his way with the goose, but all thanks to it, the dragon bolts upon it much faster if he were to give longer chase instead.

the harpy’s bucking gets thrown off its feet, two armfuls of arm-wings tackling into the bird’s knees and bringing all three of them tumbling to the floor in a heap of feathers. oh, there it goes, down and gagging harder and HONKing in distress, oh the nerve of these monsters!!!! eren gives a frustrated snarl before successfully straddling the bird’s legs and holding its wings, nodding to bendy for him to tie the knot righteously behind the goose’s head. ]

Good thinking, [ he manages, and after a moment between breaths, looks at anything he could use to follow the imp’s lead— anything to tie these legs and wings, anything. he doesn’t have them, but . . . he does have what he’s wearing: a thin clothed poncho that only goes over his head. ] can you get this off?

[ he gestures with his chin and a slight look down. ]

We’ll tie the rest of him up— and bring him back.

[ It's a disorienting few moments of brawling--were this Bendy's original world, they'd have been caught up in a huge dustcloud. Regardless, Mister Dragon emerges victorious and gives Bendy a compliment to boot. The little demon's chest puffs out a bit, pleased to have been helpful.

He reaches up and pulls at the poncho on his new friend. The harpy is still struggling wildly beneath them, however, and it makes every effort to free itself while they're distracted. Bendy winds up stepping on its neck, earning a very strangled HENGK, and he falls back in alarm, landing on his tail with Eren's poncho in hand. ]

[ dustclouds, stars and bendy arms!

the only thing to be mindful of are eren's horns— the points are sharp, easily caught against fabric that only gives a sudden warning through the sound of a rrrrrrrip as he pulls his head back to help bendy's tugs. two grand rips. it's no problem, and even a little helpful, the demon would find! and just what the dragonw would have done eventually. when eren makes a reach for the poncho, a little nod of thanks to it (and pulling bendy up onto his feet again while he's at it, light as a feather), he begins tying the wings behind his back, adding a few intricate knots to keep them tight (not overly), safe and secure from any unwanted flapping. ]

Know how to give knots?

[ he asks the turnskin, still sitting with the harpy's thighs between his legs, but two ends of his now tattered poncho in each hand held out. ]

[ Bendy nods emphatically, taking the ruined poncho offered to him. He lifts up the ends of the rags, waggles his hands as though preparing for a magic trick, and then goes into a quick flurry of motion--it's not easy to follow the exact movement, but the end result is the goose's legs tied tight with a pretty bow.

With a squeaky little giggle, Bendy pats the furious goose on the knee. Sorry, friend! This was fun. Maybe next time you'll get 'em.

Bendy smiles up at Mister Scary Dragon Friend and titters again. He was scary, but he was still very nice. He holds up a fist, for the gentle violence of respect. ]

a very neat bow. eren stares at it some enough for the sight to get some tongue-flicking action— it’s actually very secure, if the useless thrashing from the bird was anything to go by! the fist held up to him, though (gets a brief flicky as well), has eren returning it the way he knows how: bumping with his own fist, arm parallel to bendy’s. nice work!!! and he’s on his knees, he’s at least closer to bendy than he’ll ever be sans lying down. ]

Sorry about your food. [ which he looks at, some ways away from them. it might all still be good? tbh eren would eat it. the same way he eats questionable things. with the goose harpy stranded, eren hooks a knot (not the beautiful bow tie) onto the tip of his tail, and lifts himself to walk. the bird will drag along with him, but it’s a short distance to get to the food— an apple, the closest thing, that he curves down to pick up in his talons. and another. and another. ] You can still use them— [ and you know what else he’s thinking? the little bugger sounds mute. ] What do I call you?

[ Somehow, Bendy's grin grows even brighter as Eren returns the friendship bump. Now they are officially cool guys!!

Though, looking back over the ruined picnic makes deflate ever so slightly. Sure, it had mostly been for the sake of sharing and bonding over, but even that hadn't quite panned out. At least he'd managed bonding with someone else!

He perks up at Eren's question. Oh! Right. Bendy pulls out his watch (Where from? Don't worry about it.) And types away, his tongue poking out. He generally avoids using it in person, but it's useful for introductions. ]

[ bendy is allowed that sort of law breaking. be the rebel you were born to be.

eren has to walk over and crouch down close to his knees to see the screen, as well as give the little guy a proper introduction that’s, again, as close to eye-to-eye that he could make it, before blinking in surprise. the little guy who was freaking out about money loans but realized he was free . . . !!!!!! in all honesty, eren only ran with the conversation, and in the end there were hearts. hearts he almost didn’t know how to deal with. now he knows why, look at you! you are so pure. ]

You’re Bendy. [ eren, after a second, hands the apples he’s picked up back to the turnskin. maybe they could still use something to carry this all back? he’s last his poncho. well. he has pretty extensive arm-wings. ] It’s Eren.

[ Bendy's horns (ears? are they ears now? toon anatomy was hard enough to figure out before he started turning into monsters, dangit) perk up at Eren's introduction. Oh! Mister Grumpy Dragon isn't a new friend, he's an old one!

Rather than taking the recovered apples, Bendy leans forward to grab Eren's hand and shakes it emphatically. Of course he remembers the name of someone who worked so hard to teach him important lessons about the freedom economy! It's always so exciting to meet people from inside the watch! ]

[ OH oh no there go all your apples, again. but!!! that’s fine!!! that’s perfectly fine when bendy presents him with enthusiastic shaking, enough that you nearly got his arm by surprise there. you want a good shake!! you’ve got one. once eren’s hand adjusts to the small, a firm shake it is.

and perhaps, a bit of a smile that’s fairly difficult to get out of him these days. ]

Let’s get your things picked up. [ he’ll even have at the apples again, hoarding them into the umbrella-like holder he creates to keep them all in one place. yes, he can probably hold all this fruit. ] Then you can enjoy them.
