an important bunch of discussions
Who: Fordola and Thancred.
When: Pre-new arrivals, but after Thancred returns from Dorchacht.
Where: Their house.
What: Discussions of the last month... and discussions of home.
Warnings:
Fordola had considered going with Thancred, but hadn't.
Fordola had felt near-feral quite a bit over the month - she missed her bond, her tether. And so, as soon as Thancred had found his way back, Fordola had begun to fuss - as if he was one of her former Skulls. She would move to retrieve him...
...and get him home. Getting him food - some lightly grilled fish, even if she'd begun to eat them raw. And, well. She led Thancred to her main room, the nest she had been fussing over. She'd begun to steal weapons, to make her room feel safer. Her nest - more of a hoard, really - was really fit for a griffin.
"...comfortable?"

"...comfortable?"

He settled down, wings spreading- letting himself relax, and looks around. "I am, " he said. "It looks as though you've been putting a lot into making it more homey here. That's good. I'm guessing it's comfortable for you?"
no subject
"...Yeah. Probably some... Griffin thing, huh?" She joked, as she dropped to all fours, moving to pull some blankets over. "Bit messier then I'd have it, but it's... fine."
no subject
"That seems likely. They're quite ferocious, and rather protective…" He watches her with a concerned eye, ears twitching a little. "Well, that's something we can work on. With any luck, things should be settled for a while- even if there are rather more people now…" Which he'll probably get involved with, seeing as he helped there. He reaches out for some of the blankets, starting to arrange them. "And- you were still well?"
no subject
"Yeah, I heard that you brought back some people." She... didn't get him. Getting involved with all these other things - she still didn't care. But... perhaps it was the Bond speaking, but she did worry a little for those who came here. "Don't know how, still. You'll need to fill me in... once you've rested. Reports can come later--"
Then, she paused, ear twitching. "...well. After bein' taken for a bit, yeah. Except for some weird dreams, but that's regular 'round here."
no subject
"You mentioned that. What happened?" He sat up properly, reaching out to her. "What sort of dreams?"
no subject
...but she sighed. She had to tell him. "...According to one of those heroes - one I saw in 'em - Lord Gaius lives."

Those words startle him out of that particular dark place. "Van Baelsar- they're sure? Why- how?" He doesn't remember seeing it himself, but- the man was thrown from the Ultima Weapon. Even with reinforced armour… he must have taken grievous wounds.

Fordola, however, gave a firm nod. "They didn't explain more. How he survived - but he lives, in the Burn. A place ravaged by Eikon - where Lord Solus saw, and decided that Beastmen and Eikon were our largest enemy." A deep breath, before she continued. She had to explain where it was - in case he didn't know. And to solidify what she still felt. "...they weren't the Warrior I remember. But they still felt like they were the Warrior - and when have they lied, hm?"
no subject
"The Burn- where the land was drained of aether?" Thancred frowned. "Well- that does sound a suitable enough place to hide. Though I don't imagine it's pleasant living there…". He made a curious sound, shifting a little. "Not about the important things, like that," he said. "I think I understand what you mean- once we'd met again, after the Calamity…. There was something about them. Something that said this person was important,:

Fordola deeply sighed. "...I promised you I'd come clean if ya came back. I'd tell ya everything about what I did. And now they're runnin' around - they'll likely tell ya from their point of view."
no subject
He shifted, attention focusing on her. "You did. Will you tell me, then? From your perspective." The way she'd put it concerned him a little- but he cared about her.

But... sigh. She had to. "The first time I heard of your group - of the Warrior of Light and those connected t'them - was when Baelsars' Wall was assaulted. I still don't know if the one who began it - whoever it was - was one of yours.
But an Eikon was summoned - and it was weakened and seemed to vanish. However, many of my comrades perished that night."
no subject
"…A primal? I… doubt that would be one of ours." He couldn't see any reason for it to be, at least. "Comrades who were on Baelsar's Wall," he said. "Then… you were- on the eastern side of the Wall?"
Nothing about what she'd said struck him as false. He tilted his head, wondering- trying to see if she reminded him of anyone from the time he'd spent in Ala Mhigo, before.
