[open] pre-gaming, the dignitary variety
Who: Anyone invested in the Dorchacht Dilemma or planning to visit Dorchacht through the event.
When: Septeril 1st, late evening
Where: The Sly Seadog
What: Planning
Warnings: Who the eff knows
[ It was getting late in the evening, but it was crucial to meet up. Daenerys – with the help of some more technologically savvy people – offered invitations to anyone who seemed interested in the affair with Dorchacht.
They meet at the Sly Seadog: a run-down little dive of a tavern, found along a narrow back-alley in the harbour, frequented by sailors, welcoming to Monsters and humans alike. The crowd is dense for this early in the "night", but still a few drunkards pawning off their last bit of money for a little bit more booze.
It was not up to a standard she would prefer, but it's something and it's relatively quiet. Three long tables can fit enough people for their meeting – and there's some standing room at the bar. Time to get down to business, right?
Feel free to top level, make points, argue, etc. ]

Sounds like the ideal outcome, [ he dips his head a little, takes some water, and briefly settles his glance over one of their own debating at the table. ] for visionaries.
[ this is almost a waste of time, almost. but, he’s here, so, he’s getting something out of it. who he might be able to count on, or use, for lack of better wording, even though that still makes his skin crawl. he’s met, rean, fei, she doesn’t look like a machias . . . ]
You must be Towa?

Towa blinks several times.]
That's right. Towa Herschel.
[She doesn't can't imagine any other reason that he'd know who she is-- so he must know one of the others.]
Sorry, I can't say I'm confident enough to guess your name though.

it’s almost upsetting that he doesn’t believe in his friends much anymore, for their own well being. it was time to trust himself, for once. he would’ve always been right if he did. ]
I have a bond with Elliot.

I knew there was one I hadn't met yet. It's a pleasure to meet you Eren. [...] Elliot's a sweet boy. Please take good care of him.
[The glint in her eye suggests that if she found out he ever did anything to the contrary-- they would meet again, with far less pleasantries.]

. . . He’s got that covered.
[ elliot takes care of himself just fine!!!! and takes occupational hazards in being bonded to eren. ]

I suppose that's true enough.
[She knows all too well what he's capable of, maybe even more than he himself does at times.]
Still, no one person can do everything on their own. Part of a person's strength is the people that they can count on.

You just need to know when to make the right choice. [ and when you don’t, it really burns. but then again, it wasn’t like he could see every detail to his future. there were miscalculations. there were regrets when he never listened to himself.
so, he’s stopped deafening it. he never forgot about needing people. it’s why he has a group. a group that isn’t who he truly cares for. a group that, in essence, is disposable. as much as he’d never wish that on any of them. it was the truth that most were too morally high to admit. ] —How can you know, hm?
[ he adds casually, knowing the answer himself, finishing his water to wet his lips and give something for his reptile tongue to entertain with. ]
