[open] pre-gaming, the dignitary variety

Who: Anyone invested in the Dorchacht Dilemma or planning to visit Dorchacht through the event.
When: Septeril 1st, late evening
Where: The Sly Seadog
What: Planning
Warnings: Who the eff knows

[ It was getting late in the evening, but it was crucial to meet up. Daenerys – with the help of some more technologically savvy people – offered invitations to anyone who seemed interested in the affair with Dorchacht.

They meet at the Sly Seadog: a run-down little dive of a tavern, found along a narrow back-alley in the harbour, frequented by sailors, welcoming to Monsters and humans alike. The crowd is dense for this early in the "night", but still a few drunkards pawning off their last bit of money for a little bit more booze.

It was not up to a standard she would prefer, but it's something and it's relatively quiet. Three long tables can fit enough people for their meeting – and there's some standing room at the bar. Time to get down to business, right?

Feel free to top level, make points, argue, etc. ]

... Why don't you trust them? Ms. Nessie and Mhairi, I mean.

[Nnnngh, Elliot looks so conflicted and like he does not want to be put on the spot like this. He glances around for a moment, before biting his lip. He might as well be out with it]

A few times a month I go to the slums outside the wall to teach music for free. Last month, some of my regular students disappeared. The others said they'd be infected by Cwyld and taken to the Coven for treatment.

I found some in the clinic, but the others had been taken to a restricted area in the lower levels. And...by the end of the month, my students in the clinics were taken there too. None of them have returned home.

[...]

Nerissa Bell has access to those lower levels. I interned at the clinic to learn how to cure Cwyld and see if I could find a way down there. I couldn't, but I saw her come in and out of there myself.

[Well... since she's head of the coven and they're fronting the fight against the Cwyld, that makes sense enough. Of course she'd be involved. Elliot just seems more skeptical about it than that.]

And you think she's doing something to them?

...I don't know. That's what I want to know.

I do know that the people outside the wall are wary of the Coven. Enough that they're hesitant to get treated by the Coven. Maybe it's just unfounded fears and superstitions but...

I just have a feeling there's something hidden from all of us.

[Yuya stuffs his hands in his pockets.] I guess if they don't understand what's going on with us, there's things they won't trust us with... but if we don't trust them, there won't be any reason for them to relent that feeling either, right? Maybe they're hiding something terrible, maybe they just don't know how to see us either...

[He rubs the back of his neck.] Does anyone have an idea why we're here? Even just a guess?

[Elliot just sighs and shakes his head. No he doesn't know an idea. He answered Yuya's question, and he is not argumentative enough to keep at it. ]
