Who: Liliana & YOU! (Other vampires are very encouraged!)
When: August 15th, night of the Full Moon
Where: Aristocratic District, Entertainment District
What: Full Moon Vampire transformation time.
Warnings: Bat violence? Maybe a little blood.


For these prompts, Liliana is a very fearsome pied bat. She's about a foot tall and has a wingspan of around 4 to 4.5 feet.

Going Batty



[ Much to her dismay, Liliana has found herself a little hairy. Well, very hairy. Despite Chandra's best efforts to placate her--and they did work for a while--these vampiric instincts were too much to ignore. So she takes to the skies in search of--something. Food? Probably. She's restless and doesn't want to be cooped up inside their (admittedly large) house much longer.

Heading directly into town seems to be the best course, as she enjoys spending her time getting entertained by others there when she can. She's been avoiding it recently after her death, but this is suddenly very freeing. It's not exactly a conscious choice, but her little dead heart is beating faster than it has in a long time.

Being a bat isn't exactly easy, though. Liliana does her best to land on a lamp post and hang upside down...

...but she misses and ends up being a bat torpedo onto the nearest bystander. Oops.

OR she manages to successfully situate herself on the lamp, pulling her wings around herself like a perfect little burrito. And waits. Waits for someone to pass underneath so she can satiate the growing hunger in her belly. Do you see the bat? Are you wary? She'll be more inclined to get the drop on witches. ]

BAT FIGHT! BAT FIGHT!!



[ NOTE: If you are ALSO a vampire and want to get in on the ridiculous bat fight, please do!!! If you are not a vampire (either another monster or a witch) and want to try and break it up, you are welcome to as well. ]

[ Being a bat isn't actually all that bad, she's surprised to find out. Granted, she isn't exactly thinking like she's used to and is kind off an adrenaline high, but it's the best high she's had in quite a while. A few nips and bites to the locals have given her a taste for blood, but it also means that there might be competition.

Which is why when she finally encounters another bat circling the area where she has been attempting to hunt, she lets out a warning cry. ]

[ Oops! Well, you know, it's not going to be a perfect landing. Liliana recoils and flaps back upwards several feet but quickly realizes that there's an opportunity in front of her too.

He has a neck! And arteries! All of which sound very good right now.

So Liliana does a 180 and goes in for a real dive this time. Take two! ]

[ Sora's been through a lot of things in his life, but trying to fight off an animal diving for his neck is not one of them. So he goes for the time-honored tradition of flailing his arms in front of himself. ]

Go away!

[ He's not that effective. The bat manages to make it through his defenses and latch onto his neck, which makes him panic all the more. But he doesn't want to make it worse, so once he feels the teeth go into his skin, he sort of just—freezes. What if it tries to rip his neck open completely? ]

[ Flailing arms is, sadly for Liliana, still decently effective. Even if it's just the sheer chaos of it. If she were thinking beyond basic instinct and thinking necks are a good opportunity? She might be embarrassed. Later, she likely will be.

Also unfortunately for Liliana, he manages to whack her pretty good in the head in his flailing, which pulls a loud screech of surprise (and hurt!) as she tumbles down to the ground.

How...how could he? Look at this poor little (large) creature! ]

[ That's a large creature that was on his neck, okay? It was scary!

Oh, but he did hit it kind of hard. Sora freezes for a second, hands hovering in midair, then slowly moves closer to see if he's done permanent damage. ]

[chainveil]

[ She just lays there for a moment, a lump of batty fluffiness on the ground. Who could possibly hurt such an adorable mix of white and black fur? Really, even if it was an attack right for the jugular. She's just a bat.

One that still has some fight left in her, it seems, because once he's close enough she springs to life and flaps wildly around as she tries to take to the air again just above his head. ]

[ It was an ATTACK and Sora is stressed out. The stress wars with relief when he sees that the animal isn't permanently injured, because it's able to fly again a moment later. ]

Can you just go away?

[ He makes a shooing motion towards the bat. Like that will convince it. ]
