Aguril Catch-All!
Who: Towa Herschel (
overworker) and you!
When: throughout the month of August
Where: Various Locations
What: Starting off strong for her first month, Towa's attacking classes, quests and life within the Coven head-first!
Warnings: None, will add as necessary
I. Coven: Classes
[As a beginner, Towa takes the classes that are offered to witches very seriously. Beyond studious, even if it's only been a few days-- she already has a variety of diligently taken notes. But even though she has no intention of neglecting any class offered, she already has a clear idea of where she wants to begin. She knows it won't be easy-- there's no telling what kind of talent (or perhaps lack thereof) she might possess. So she can't slack off. Always one of the first to arrive, she's also always staying late to practice.
There's a certain project that she's been working on. It's in it's very earliest stages, so she saves it for later-- when there are less people around. The last thing she wants to do is cause any trouble for anyone. But what she's attempting to do could realistically do just that if she's not careful.
On the desk in front of her sits a large handheld gun of some strange origins. Along with it are several large books on evocation.]
If I'm correct, this shouldn't be so different from orbal energy. I hope I'll be able to use this...
[It would seem that she's attempting to create a form of energy that the gun can use to shoot out as a weapon. Not all parts of the process are dangerous, but if you approach her while the gun is in her hands, then you might be at some form of risk if you don't announce yourself first.]
II. Part-timers Wanted!: Precogstitchin'
[It's not enough just to put her all into classes-- no, she wants to help out. And part of that means earning money to help ease Elliot's financial troubles, since he'd been kind enough to help them all out when so many of them arrived so suddenly. While she may not have much in terms of specialized skills, she's done enough here and there to know that a part time job is well within her capabilities. Reading the wanted ads, she came across one for the quaint tailor's shop, Precogstitchin'.
Whatever your needs might be, the shop has been hard at work preparing orders of various garments. Within the shop, Towa is available to help you find whatever it is you need, place your order or retrieve your order if you had something already set up.]
Welcome to Precogstitchin'! My name's Towa-- If you needle assistance-- [Phonetically tailored to sound like "need a little".] Just let me know!
III. Wilde Quest #1: Out of the City
[In her free time, Towa ventures beyond the Bright Wall to the Outer City to lend aide to those outside. Her first aid is elementary; based on her lessons from Thors and not yet much on the magic taught here. But she is more than capable of patching up an injury and applying the proper medicine. From the smallest scratch to the worst of the worst, she won't avert her eyes. No one is getting away without receiving the appropriate care.
And although it wasn't exactly her plan, she doesn't mind occasionally singing for a small crowd. While she wouldn't say she's anything special, it was good enough to get the crowd going a few years ago at the school festival so-- if it lifts some spirits here, then she's more than happy to do what she can.]
Well... it's a little embarrassing but
IV. Wildcard
[Even Towa needs a break from time to time. Whether that's shopping, cooking or heaven's forbid resting there are plenty of opportunities to run into her outside of her focused tasks. As a matter of fact, in the evening, she often finds a nice spot outside to watch the stars when she gets a chance. You might even catch her dozing off in the middle of something (working so hard is bound to catch up to her sometime). Although something like that is more likely to happen while she's reading in the library, somewhere she feels safe, or out where she's watching the stars, where she's at peace. But honestly, hit me with anything!]

He listens to her explanation. Yeah....yeah, he could agree with that logic. ]
Ahaha Y-Yeah, I can't picture you with a sword... [He's pretty sure Laura's sword is the size of Towa honestly] You're already having to learn a new type of magic. Making you learn an entirely new weapon on top of it is asking a lot. Plus, the stuff available in town really isn't as advanced as orbal weapons, so ... yeah, getting this working would be better.
[It's the same reasoning he worked towards getting his staff working again. It was more than just sentimentality. There was pragmatism to using an orbal staff over the staves offered in this place.
But the question now was how to get this thing working. ]
You said you were thinking of using Evocation to power it. Did you have an idea of how to do that?

[Ahaha. Yeah of course it's not that simple. But if every other prospect is bad, then it's true. The pressure has never been greater though.]
The concept behind my orbal gun was that it actually shoots arts. In that way, it seems like evocation would be the closest type of magic in form. Theoretically I believe that if I could manipulate the energy of different evocation spells through the gun, I could use it in a very similar way to it's intended use.

[He has faith in Towa!!!!!
He pictures what she's describing]
Oh...so it'd be like you're using the gun as a way to channel evocation spells? Almost like how some use wands here?
no subject
Yes, that's what I was thinking. It may even be able to amplify those powers based on it's own capabilities.
[Considering she's still a beginner, it wouldn't hurt if she had room to extend her capabilities, even if it was just a little.]
no subject
That could be really useful if it did!
Though...you should be careful about your power output. It's a lot easier for a spell to go wrong than it is with arts, especially when you're just learning.
no subject
[It's something that will require a great deal of focus and a lot of fine tuning before she has any hope of becoming comfortable with it.]
I can't say I'm not worried something might go wrong, but-- I'll be careful. And if I think it's too much, I'll stop.
[She has to at least be aware of her limits. It would be no use if she hit a wall and continued to keep trying to run into it.]
no subject
Alright, I didn't mean to lecture. I was just meaning to say...it's not easy to control compared to arts at first, that's all.
no subject
[She is glad to have his wisdom.]
no subject
Still, I got faith you'll figure this one out.
no subject
You're right, I know better. We are friends after all.
[ This is just what friends do. ]
no subject
[Aw yeah Friendship. Sorry Towa you are pretty much Class VII as far as Elliot's concerned]
A-Anyway, I should stop bothering you and let you get back to work. I'll see you back home?
no subject
[Even if they ended up talking about her work, it was good to have a second person to bounce all those thoughts off of.]
I shouldn't be home too late. I wanted to pick up a few things on the way back. If anyone else needs anything, I'd be happy to pick it up. Just send me a list.

[He moves for the door, giving a way]
Later Towa! Good luck with it.
