I . . . [ she almost wants to say no, but some lies have very, very short legs. four inhales, quietly, before finding her pace. ] I do. I have not been here so long, though.

The same as you, I suppose.

Oh really? You're new here too?

_{[There's delight in his voice when he says that, as if he's relieved to find someone else who seems to be in the same situation as him. Why wouldn't he be? He's lonely, after all.]}

Sorry I um...you're probably doing something important, right? It's just that when you were singing your voice sounded so familiar so...I'm Emil! What's your name?

[ if four could sum herself in a single gif, it’d be nervous laughter all over again. though naturally, she’ll have to lie, she’ll have to lie about something— she just wont choose the largest one to carry. ]

Did it, now–? How strange . . . [ she sounds as clueless as she wants to be. ] You may call me Four, little Emil. I wish I could say something seems familiar about you, as well.

[ at least, that wasn’t a lie. simply a well placed disguise in desire. ]

_{[Is her name weird? Yeah, it is, but honestly who is Emil to judge something like that? Strange is pretty much the norm in his life anymore so Four it is. He won't think too deeply on it past that.]}

Aha...yeah. _{[About the familiar part.]} I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish I knew someone here. Guess you feel that way too, huh?

Somewhat, [ she says, mildly pensive. ] the first thing I thought of when I arrived was if I’d see my family again.

I find myself thinking of them being here, sometimes— but that’s not what I want.

[petrifying]

Mm, that makes sense...I can understand that. I think it'd be nice to see my sister again but that's not possible.

_{[Since, y'know, his sister is a) dead and b) was turned into a giant creepy fuck off skeleton magic monster. Sad. Gingerly he folds his hands behind his back as he leans on his heels.]}

Do you have siblings Four?

. . . I’m sorry to hear that.

[ while she’s on the other end of the spectrum, the dead one with no way back. or maybe she does, who knows. siblings, though, that makes her pause like the inching of a blade into her chest. ]

Six sisters, in fact. [ the melancholy in her voice is . . . there, but strategically. ] We’ve drifted so far apart in the last few years. I’ve always yearned for us to become a family again. [ a small sigh ] Even if they were to meet the same fate as I.

Oh wow...six?

_{[That's...a LOT of sisters! She can probably visibly see the gears in his brain turning, trying to process the thought of having so many siblings. It's a lot, but it sounds nice. Sounds the opposite of lonely, at least until she talks about them having drifted apart.]}

That sounds sad...I really hope you can become a family again! In the end you're all sisters right? Family is family, no matter what, right?
