[ then he can fix whatever once it's on— she can't have him ruining it. four pulls up the fabric, and from behind him, begins tightening the laces that would mark his back. it's quite the beautiful dress! ]
A wise one once said: Once may be a mistake, twice is idiocy. What do you think of that?

I think once is a mistake, second time is intentional. After all, aren't people supposed to be corrected after the first mistake?
[ That is his thought process, at least. He sees no point in holding off and waiting for more mistakes. ]

. . . Precisely what I believe, Louis. [ she even smiles, surprised almost, before gently taking his hand to guide his fingers into pinching some of the fabric up. just to make sure sheās making it look good every and any way it flows. ] Having intention is the epitome of asininity. Ah, though a bare no offense to . . . The asinine.
[ shout out to your donkey friends, she guesses!!!! ]
Justice and judgement always prevails.

Foolish, even. Though: ]
That's a nice idea, but it's a lot of work.
[ And honestly, it's not his work anymore. At home, they wanted him to be that icon of justice, and he had to turn it down. To him, it's not been the case. He's personally won frequently, and he was frequently not representing either of those ideas. ]
And sacrifice.
[ He knows, personally. ]

[ swish, swish. it's coming out lovely, and adjusting the way her own skirt folds underneath her, four sits by and sews a lovely pattern into the fabric being held out. it almost looks like a vine dangling from the waist. ]
That is why the weight rests on those who can shoulder them. I hope to do so, [ . . . ] when I return to my home.
[ she has nowhere to return to. ]

[ It comes out too quickly, almost word vomit when he responds to her. But, regardless, it's true. While there was a time where he considered the title of Beastar an honor, he doesn't want anything to do with it, now. Least of all on his own. ]
I hope to not be burdened with anyone else's problems anymore.
[ And there you have it, Four. A Deer who is officially done⢠with fixing things. Though he knows well that he'll continue doing it despite his protests. And he'll continue to be grumpy about the fact that he's doing it. ]
I should only be burdened with my own problems.
[ He
makeshas enough of his own. ]no subject
[ although, there's something in her that admires his abrupt truth. it's a shame that he could also be lying, so that dies instantly. ]
Have people— taken advantage of you, Louis?
no subject
[ Hm, he has a hard time figuring out how to explain it. In some ways, he supposes, he was, but being taken advantage of sounds so negative. And, it wasn't like they were intentionally doing it, either. Louis just happened to be where the problems ended up sometimes. ]
I'm unlucky and attract trouble makers.
[ That's the best way to figure it out. ]
I don't know anyone who did it maliciously, though. There's nothing wrong with wanting something easy going for once.
To free yourself from any trouble that others can cause.
