[Ozymandias with his personality had been very easy to notice their first month of lessons. And even more so, it was easy to notice him missing when he was gone for a month. So when he happens to pass by him in the hall, it catches Elliot's notice. ]

Oh hey, are you coming to class today?

[fulgency]

[It takes only a moment for Ozymandias to realize he's being spoken to, looking about until his gaze meets Elliot's. The question only increases his temptation to throw caution to the wind, but he shakes his head.]

No, not today. Perhaps tomorrow.

[Just one extra day. That's all. How much more could he possibly miss? At least Zelda left him with plenty of notes to start catching up once he feels up to it.]

Oh?

[He tilts his head a little curiously]

Is there a reason why?

[Elliot hadn't been in the loop for why this guy missed so much class]

There have been other matters that require my attention.

[It's not exactly a lie, but neither is it exactly the truth. Ozymandias dislikes that anyone possesses the knowledge that he's been so ill that he's been bed-ridden for a better part of the last month. There's no way he would willingly part with the blatant truth to someone he's only seen in passing.]

Tomorrow should be a better day for me to resume lessons.

I ... see.

[Okay that's a very cryptic answer. Elliot isn't sure what's going on, but he doesn't know this guy well enough to try to pry]

W-Well, I hope that matter gets settled and you can come back to class? People have noticed your absence.

[Little hard not to with a personality like Ozy's]

[Well, if Elliot has missed Ozymandias' characteristically loud and boisterous laugh, he's earned a sample of it.]

Have they now? That doesn't surprise me, [he says with a dismissive wave of his hand.] But for anyone concerned, you may reassure them that I will be returning shortly and all is well. As far as where I'm concerned, there's never a need to worry. Not everyone is privy to the reasons for the comings and goings of Pharaoh, but they may find strength in knowing that he will always return.

[.....Yep. This is why this guy stood out in class so much. Something inside Elliot inwardly cringes, this reminds him so much of the most egotistical of nobles back home, but he manages to keep a straight face.]

R-Right...Sure. I won't pry.

[Someday he'll ask what the heck a Pharaoh is, but maybe not today]

Well, I'll see you in class tomorrow then. Lemme know if you need any help catching up.

[Ozymandias nods, as it seems obvious that he must need to be getting to class shortly and will no doubt want a little time to get himself prepared..]

Of course! Don't let me make you late for class. [He smiles warmly.] Or else that offer to help me catch up will not be worth very much.

Oh, right- [Class. He forgot. He's gotta go there] Whoops.

[Still, he can't help but smile a little at Ozy's attitude. Sure, he was a weird noble, but he didn't seem like a bad guy]
