A. Snow Zombies!
[Actually, no. It isn't a snow zombie. But it's probably understandable that you would think so. You are probably on your merry way elsewhere or maybe you're helping clean the streets of snow. But sooner or later, you would feel a hand come out of nowhere weakly take hold of your leg. The owner of that hand is none other than Ryoji Mochizuki, buried deep in the snow. He looks at you, his skin pale and the white of the snow clinging to his black hair doesn't make things any better.
He is shivering, struggling to say something.]
S-S-S-S-So...rry...
[He may be feeling like death but that is no excuse for not apologizing to someone.]
B. The Perfect Model
Oh! I think they'd be perfect for it.
[And someone is pointing right at you. The harpy boy goes over to you before he gently takes you by the shoulders, leading you back towards the lady that he had been talking to earlier. He gives you a bright smile and a supportive thumbs up. Just what has this boy dragged you into? Probably not something good.]
The perfect model is right here! They have the face for it, you know?
[He may or may not have just pulled you into a quick modelling gig. Nothing too serious but...whoops?]
C. Business is Business
[Ryoji sits at a stall that he agreed to run because he has "a pretty face". He's honored to take the reigns on this but he doesn't understand how a pretty face relates to selling...weaponry. But Ryoji is going to certainly try his best to use his money maker to sell these things. He puts a smile on his face as he holds up a simple axe.]
We have axes here! Really nice axes!
[Well, he thinks they are nice axes. He isn't too sure about that. But they have some unique carvings on them so that must mean they are good quality, right? Right.]
D. Scribe Work
[Ryoji believes he's good at writing which is why he accepted this request. Also, he is borderline broke. That also contributed to it. But it seems that his mind his elsewhere since everything he writes down always seems to lead off into something not relating to the spell work that they wanted him to write down. He lays his head down on the desk provided to him and lets out a small groan.]
It's hopeless...

The young harpy blinks in surprise when the older man's jacket is placed on his shoulders. He feels guilty. He honestly should be letting the man hold onto it himself so he doesn't catch a cold on Ryoji's behalf. But it is really warm...]
I-I suppose it is...
[He can't exactly say no thank you to all of this, can he? He said so himself that he isn't allowed to refuse!]
I just r-really don't w-want to be a bother to you. You don't h-have to go out of y-y-your way for me.

[Yeah good luck arguing with a cop about refusing hospitality, nyx avatar.]
You're going to be way more of a bother if you keep arguing that this is going to be a problem. [He briefly clicks his thumb against the rest of his hand and a small flame rises from it before he shakes his hand again to stop it.] See? I can make a fire.
[That has nothing to do with a dead son that died when their car slipped on ice, don't be silly. Althought truth be told, Hank would do the same thing, just be a lot less insistent about it.]

Ryoji watches in mild surprise at the flame that Hank conjures for the quick second. It really made him crave the warmth that he would hopefully be getting soon. If the older man is so insistent about it then Ryoji will not argue over it anymore. He really could have been in serious danger if he hadn't come by. It's safe to say that he owes this man his life.]
T-Thank you.
[He pulls the coat closer to himself.]
I'll r-repay you s-soon enough. I p-promise.

No need.
[By the time they are at the house, Hankk is admittedly freezing but the place is quickly warmed up by of the space with a few logs tossed into the iron furnace. A large Saint Bernard, who briefly looks up when he sees the both of them, wags his tail and begins to follow them around. It doesn't take too long for Hank to come back with all the covers he has on his bed and puts them on top of the kid.]
I'll get you something warm to drink.
[Kid doesn't have enough warmth just yet which is probably why he says;]
Sumo. Couch.
[The large dog sits next to him, placing his head on Ryoji's knees. Please pet the dog.]

Thank you again...
[At least his stuttering has gone away. He's sure he was a bit hard to understand. He could honestly not even understand himself thanks to the deafening sound of his teeth chattering. He looks down at the dog he officially knows as Sumo and smiles. He's even cuter up close! He gently pets the dog on the head.]
Your dog is really cute! And very well behaved too.
[He can appreciate some Good Boys(tm).]

[Much like his master, really. He comes back with a cup of hot coffee.]
Uh sorry. I don't have much hot chocolate here. Someone's trying to watch out for my diet. If it's too bitter, I'll get you some hot water with a bit of sugar.
[He then goes to get some towels to dry up some of the melting ice.]

[He is almost tempted to try that mostly because he has never heard of that before. He looks down at the coffee, appreciating the warmth and the smell before he takes a sip. He relaxed at the relieving feeling of the warmth spreading through his body. It's too good.
He eventually transfers the cup over to one other hand so he can pet Sumo with a free one. No matter what Hank says, Ryoji will always believe this big lug is well behaved good boy.]
This tastes really good. Are you some kind of coffee guru?
no subject
[Sumo appreciates the pettings very much.]
Heh. No. The real guru's Connor. I can barely mix water and coffee beans, but watch someone else do it enough and you sort of get the idea.
