My hero.
[
Sure, he's also the one who did this to her in the first place. But let's not focus on that. She's aware of the debt she now owes, and has no intentions of giving him time to hold it over her head. As soon as she's sure she has her footing, she stands up on her toes in order to press in closely enough to press her lips to his.]

His side of the kiss is sweet, more about savoring the moment than anything overeager despite the excess energy buzzing through his body and soul. It might seem as if he's simply trying to play the part of the fairy prince, but the approach isn't a facade in the way that the maze or the desert temperature are—it's more like a dream-self realized. He holds both her hands as if they're precious treasures, and there's a gentle smile in his eyes when he breaks away a few seconds later, even if she might see a flash of red before his glamour solidifies again.
Ares makes the jump from Ferran's shoulder to Rikku's in that moment, and the last of the creatures reaches her feet, sniffing at the familiar girl's scent.]
Congratulations.

The moment is not at all how she imagined it--how could she even start to dream up what a moon-drunk fae could?--but it's perfect. Right down to the momentary faltering of glamour, which she sees because her eyes never leave his. It reminds her that he's a fae, and that comes with no shortage of strangeness both good and bad. But he's her fae--or perhaps more accurately, she's his witch. Either way, it's good.]
Thanks.
I've wanted to do that for a long time.
[There's a flush in her cheeks as she shifts her posture a bit, twisting a leg slightly to try and burn off some of this floaty energy without moving away from him.]
I'm glad we're Bonded, Ferran.

Me, too.
[He couldn't have asked for more, really. And to get so precious a connection when he'd asked for so little to begin with feels like a gift he doesn't deserve—or at least, one he can never really match. Few Fae can stand leaving a debt unpaid, and Ferran isn't one of them; he'll just have to do everything he can to please her.]
I'm more than happy to oblige.

Welllllll... let's have dinner and then do more of that.
[It sounds like a great way to end a wonderful date, she thinks.
And it is. ♥]
