( Orphanage: Mistaken Identity )

[ Vanitas has nothing to do with the orphanage or the kids there. Really and truly, he doesn't. Now he might have been tasked to drop some donations off, but hanging around them? Playing with them? Oh no. No no no. That's not something that Vanitas can tolerate at all.

Seems like he's in a bit of a situation right now though. Looks like some of the kids are out and about when he's dropping something off. With a cry of "Sora!" one kid starts running toward him. One kid becomes two. Then there's a quite a few running up to him and asking him a million questions. What happened to your ears? and Is your hair darker?

Van is a little overwhelmed and flabbergasted. Help? ]

Back off!

[ It's not so unusual for Van to be out in the Wilde offering assistance or just working out some of his own aggression. This time he's battling some Shades while a group of people try to clean up the area. They're now evacuating and Vanitas? Eh... He might be buying time. Not for their sake, but mostly so that he doesn't have any dead weight holding him back.

He slashes at one with his weapon, Void Gear and goes to take another step. So ( a ) either help Van get people out or get ride of Shades...

OR

( b ) Unfortunately this had been taking place along the cliffside. He gets the idea to cast a spell to cause a controlled landslide to bury another Shade. Unfortunately it also makes the ground below to become unstable. One wrong step and Van is getting swept up in an additional rockslide that is going to cast him off of one of the cliffsides. ]


( Wilders Training )

[ Okay so Vanitas had originally been there for other reasons. He just so happens to come across the recruitment people and others interested in taking part. That's why he shows up at the training grounds. When someone asks if he is a new recruit? He brushes them off and says that he's just here to watch.

But if a Mirrorbound were to try to convince him... That might change things. Or he'll just watch Mirrorbound and their partners attempt to train people and scoff from the sidelines. ]

Best to be cautious than think otherwise. I honestly would not know what to do if you got hurt...probably worse than what you have seen me do.

Is it because you're opposed to doing those things or because you think that I can't handle it?

...remember what happened to those poachers who tried to carve Sora? That is a small bit of what I can do to someone. You know of my title and what I do as the Warrior of Light and Darkness, even before those were bestowed upon me. What kinds of foes I faced...

When it comes to others, I do my best not to cause as much harm unless I need to. Can't learn if you're dead. But if it's Sora or Abyss forfend that you get hurt...it would frighten you how far I can go.

Some people are better off dead than trying to learn. Because they won't learn...

[ Just saying. Why would he give people repeated changes to come after him? To hurt him? To hurt or threaten what's his? ]

Aye, they refuse to. That they truly believe they are without correct and are willing to die for that reason.

Vani, you and Sora are all that I have left here. No one else because either they have left or Abyss knows why. I don't want to go so far that I end up losing you both. You most of all.

[ He sighs as soon as she starts to speak once more. Van's hands rest on his hips. Gives Mira a rather firm look. ]

You're not going to lose me. Whether you like it or not, you're stuck with me.

[ Yeah. Guilt isn't something that he feels all that often. Perhaps that, too, is just part of his nature. Just part of who he is even with his heart still forming. ]
