[ Magic, though. Lex shakes her head before reaching up with both arms, using the water to slick back some of her hair. ]

Closest I've ever seen to magic was bad news, but- no real experience with it. Just that rough place where I come from [ with a little laugh ] and knowing that people can be... real fucking assholes.

[ But that doesn't mean she has to be. She shifts in the water, then offers him her hand. ]

[ Assholery, sadly, has no bounds, no matter the times, or dimension or whatever. A universal truth. All the more reason to not fall into it, so Caster gives offered hand a firm shake. ]
