Very funny.

[No, he's already worked out that it doesn't have any pull here. The cloudiness in his expression fades and he follows Caster's eyes to where the young woman is now peering out from behind another customer to flash her a warm smile of thanks. Predictably, she ducks back out of sight just seconds later, friends giggling and teasing her and her newly bright red cheeks. With a little laugh, Diarmuid shakes his head and turns back just in time to take his drink from the bartender. Though the supernatural confidence from before has been a knocked, he's recovering fairly quickly- and the beer in his hand certainly helps.]

Why not ask her yourself? [...] Ah, actually, wait- please don't. I wouldn't want to embarrass her any further.

[It really wouldn't be very chivalrous= and he doubts she'd have much interest in watching two Celtic warriors getting gradually tipsier and tipsier.]

Still... everyone here seems quite generous. I wasn't expecting such a welcome reception.

[ The mole might no longer be an issue, but sorry, Diarmuid, you're still a pretty boy. You'll turn eyes wherever you go, curse or not. (Of course, no curse is better, means no one will get "obsessed" just by looking at you.

Caster chuckles at the "why not ask herself" and subsequent change of tone. He's tempted to say that he just might—! But Lancer's words make him think. ]

They follow the laws of hospitality, rare sight at such age. [ Hospitality was once the duty of every freeman, but his summons in modern times taught him already the world has changed since then. ] Is it genuine or is it because we have something they want that's another question.

[ That's just practicality speaking ]
