[ "i have heard of chaldea"— nothing more, nothing less. such a response wouldn't normally give rise to any harrowing questions, but nevertheless... it means sometime, somewhere, chaldea met him, right? could it have been before, after the one he's from? perhaps the very same servant that he knew his master encountered in singularity six?

... ah! it's too much to consider, he did practically just come to, after all. he can deal with it later. like all things.

amadeus lets out a short laugh at that. ]

[It had been one thing after another. If Bedivere had to be honest, he was only getting more questions on top of the ones he already had. Questions that he would like some answers for.]

If I may ask a question now; how do you know about Chaldea?

[ at that, his expression falls into a deeply thoughtful one, a long "hmmm" emanating from the line of his lips. after he makes a big show of crossing his arms and looking truly contemplative, he answers. ]

I'm inclined to tell you as much as you did me... but knowing you knights, my secret is likely safe with you, right?

[The shift from confusion to surprise is nearly instantaneous. There were Servants here.]

[He can't help but look around once the revelation sinks in for him. He stops eventually when he found no shield-bearing girl or her Master at her side.]

Right. I haven't the faintest. I really don't.

[ this, for once, is said with a small, allowed heaviness, a smidgen of wistfulness and concern weighing down his smile. while he has little but a feeling about what the knight may be looking to and fro for, it's clear that something regarding this whole situation is amiss.

if he were summoned here, all the world's abnormalities could make themselves known and he'd take it in stride; triple the servants, a masterless summons, a corrupted grail war, anything — but that he remembers chaldea as clear as day means he's still contracted there.
