He's not usually like this. [ Keith admitted, moving to offer the other out a hand to get him back up onto his feet. ] I don't know what got into him- Kosmo, hey! [ The wolf was smelling at Newt's pockets, reaching up with one of his paws and pulling it along Newt's pantleg with his claws. ] Kosmo, stop that!

[ The wolf's ears pinned back a little at the command, and it almost looked as though he was pouting, but he did step back. Sitting back on his haunches and tilting his head at Newt expectantly. ]

Usually the only people he bowls over are trying to hurt us honestly. I'm Keith, by the way. Again... sorry for him. [ Keith glanced towards the Zouwu, raising an eyebrow at the sparking lion-dragon-cat. ] Nice friend you have there.

It's quite alright, honestly. It caught me offguard, but no harm done. I've certainly been pounced on by bigger creatures before. [It's basically a day ending with y to Newt. Probably makes one question how someone can be kind of used to it, but don't worry about it.

He takes Keith's hand and lets them help him to his feet. He does lean over a bit to offer Kosmo a few affectionate pats on the head and some scratches behind the ears.] We'd possibly be in a more serious situation if he actually attacked me though. [He glances at the zouwu, who's still pacing a bit.] He's rather protective of me. Greg. [The zouwu stops pacing.] He's not very well socialized, so... Well, it's a learning process.

Your friend though. Their appearance is most to peculiar! I haven't seen a creature with a coat such as his.

Huh. [ Keith blinks a little at the fact that Newt's used to being jumped on by weird animals, but decided not to really question it given the other's companion. Instead he just blew out a slow breath, running his hand through his shaggy hair once the wizard was back on his feet.

Kosmo leaned up into the other's hand when he was offered pets, tail wagging just slightly, before his head shifted to the zouwu. Kosmo, ever the smart wolf, shifted down onto his four paws, inclining his head in a submissive gesture and shuffling forward towards the zouwu. Trying to make friends? Just maybe. After all, it wasn't every day Kosmo got to interact with a creature as strange as he was. ]

Neither had I until him. He's a space wolf, as far as I know. I mean, I found him on the back of a giant space whale under attack from giant lice? Space wolf is my best guess.

[The zouwu slowly slinks over to sniff at Kosmo before kind of plopping down in front of the wolf; tail kind of curling around Newt almost in a protective manner. Newt kind of bats the tail away a bit, since it's quite long and he rather not have a mouthful of fur.]

Space wolf. Space whale. [He says this like it's completely foreign to him. For them to be from space would imply-] As in, you were in space?

[PLEASE HELP HIM. HE IS A POOR 1920S MAN. SPACE TRAVEL???]

[ Woah. Okay. He has clearly overwhelmed Newt's mind, here. Keith recenters himself and vows to go a little slower on the information dump. Or at least- try. ]

Yeah. For several years, now. Travelling around the universe- seen a lot of crazy places, a lot of incredible things. They say the universe is big, but... it's incredible, too.

[ Quietly, Kosmo rolled over to expose his belly to the zouwo, surely a language the other would understand. He wasn't a threat, he wouldn't hurt Newt or Greg. He'd just smelled something unique and different, and wanted to check it out for himself. Friends, Greg? ]

[Look, man. Any technological advancement is gonna be a bit overwhelming. Wizards don't use much in terms of tech and air travel was still fairly new at that time. Suddenly being in space? Insane.]

Well, I mean. That's wonderful to hear. I wouldn't have ever thought that people would travel to space. Traveling by air is terribly recent that I can't really imagine it. Muggle advancement is so fascinating!

[The zouwu gently nudges the other with his paw, much like a cat would when batting at something like a toy or another animal.]
