( Wool You Lend A Hand )

[ Hadn't they sheered the sheep all the way back months ago? Why is the wool just now being used? Vanitas wonders this, of course, as the word gets around that the person who keeps the sheep needs an extra had. Given the fact that he had been an unwilling participant in the sheering of these sheep in the first place, Van is curious about what the wool is going to be used for this time around.

Really the job itself is easy. Put the wool in the dye. Swirl it around for a while. Take it out. Squeeze. Move it on to dry. Simple! ]

Don't know why he had such a hard time getting people to take on this job.

[ At least... Until Van starts to snicker. At nothing. ]


( An Eggstra Bad Mistake: A )

[ Van is holding a list as he stands before a house, scowling at it. There are several scribbles on the piece of paper. Though he doesn't really look too happy about being here. ]

The idiot pushing his mistakes off on other people to fix. Maybe we should just feed him to this creature he stole the eggs from. Then maybe he'd learn his lesson.

[ Not that he had much of a chance to refuse. The crazed person shoved a list in his hand, rambling, and took off. Now Vanitas is in front of one of the houses, about ready to knock. Someone should probably help him because this isn't going to go well. Vanitas has the mindset of just breaking in and taking what he needs to. ]


( An Eggstra Bad Mistake: B )

[ By now Vanitas has recovered quite a few eggs. They are all being kept into a rather big basket that he's found. Oh he's noticed that he's not the only one carrying eggs back to the Wilde. Just how many people did this moron enlist? How much did he steal!? ]

Anyone else thinking that maybe we should have left the guy to deal with this instead?

[ The problem now is that the eggs in Van's basket are starting to move. He hasn't quite noticed it yet! ]


( Save the Snowbirds )

[ Chances are that Vanitas has grabbed someone to go with him. He's made a promise not to go out into the Wilde on his own if he can avoid it. It doesn't matter who he drags with him - if they look competent enough then that'll have to do. Vanitas is confident that he can make up the difference in skill and strength. He's also grown into a rather adept healer in his time here.

Or, perhaps, you have snatched up Vanitas to come along with you. Either way, with some complaining about worrying about some dumb birds, they will all find their way to the nest. Seeing the state of the area immediately puts Vanitas on edge. ]

Of course it would be like this. At least now we know what happened to the dumb birds.

[ He pulls his Keyblade out, not wanting to risk using magic. That's when little growls and yips can be heard in the background. ]

Looks like it won't be such an easy job after all.


( Other Locations )

[ Vanitas can always be found here and there near the Wilde settlements, either clearing out the areas of wildlife or infected creatures. Or he'll be at the healing tents, offering some services to keep his "skills" sharp. Additionally, he can be found meandering the city this month, perusing through shops looking for gifts and trying not to be obvious about it! ]


( Gift Giving: Closed to CR )

[ Towards the end of the month, Vanitas is going from house to house of all of the people that he knows. At least those that he knows where they live. It seems silly and his ears are burning like mad because of the embarrassment over this, but he hadn't been able to do something of this nature last year. Vanitas had only just started to open up and trust people around this time the year previous, when Mira had brought him in. Since then he's learned a lot and has grown as a person quite a bit.

So he kind of wants to repay that. Don't get him wrong, it's not out of kindness. It has nothing to do with making other people happy or showing them that he appreciates them. Van isn't that soft of a person and he isn't about to say that this is what this is about! No, Vanitas is merely giving back out of some strange obligation to do so.

That's it. No other reason.

So several people are going to be finding Vanitas on their doorsteps - or in some cases just tracking them down and finding them at random times - and trying to shove something into their hands before making a hasty exit. ]

[ Sora most certainly can. Probably won't have the same effect. Not quite. Though Van's eyes to glint with a little bit of mischief. ]

Who says that I mind?

[ He really has gotten used to that sort of "attention" by now. ]

[His tongue is half sticking out in a blep as he pauses. Yes, Sora isn't very appealing doing this. Not like Vanitas.]

Well- I don't mind it either!

[He smiles....!!]

It's something special just between us, too.

[ Nah. The blep actually is somewhat cute. It’s enough to make Van lean over and plant a kiss on Sora’s cheek. He’s feeling rather warm at the moment. Maybe the sugar from the drink or the two snacks. ]

I’m relieved that it is just between the two if us.

[ It’s always been a worry of his that it wouldn’t remain that way. ]

[oathkeeper]

[Sora smiles when he's kissed. He nudges Vanitas' foot with his own. Now they're playing footsies under the table too. Yes, a very warm moment.]

A dates just like this too.

[darkcharge]

[ He nudges Sora back under the table. ]

Sora, we end up going on a lot of dates. So many that they tend to blur together.

[ Not that he's complaining... it actually gives him a lot of feels. ]

[oathkeeper]

[Sora lets out a soft laugh. Then he's taking his hot chocolate to give it a sip with a wiggle of his ears.]

We could always go on a whole trip out together or something instead if you need things to be changed up.

[darkcharge]

[ Actually that does bring Vanitas up short. He looks over to Sora. A whole trip... ]

You mean like getting away for a week or something? Just the two of us?

[ They spend so much time together and a lot of time just with the two of them. But why does the thought of leaving the city, maybe going away to a different one for a bit of a vacation, sound appealing? ]

You want to?

[oathkeeper]

[It's just a spur of the moment idea on the top of Sora's head. But all the same, he does think it might be fun to get out of the city for a little while. Do a little exploring of their own.

He sips his drink again with a pleased smile. So yummy.]

Yeah, I want to! We could go anywhere we wanted or just see where the road takes us, you know? It'd be fun!

[darkcharge]

[ He takes a few bites of the cheesecake and then a few sips of the hot chocolate. Every time Vanitas takes a sip, there's a soft moan on his lips. His eyelids flutter a bit and there's the barest hint of a smile on his face. ]

Actually it would be nice. We'd have to figure things out though, wouldn't we? Sleeping arrangements. Food.

[ Might have to figure out how to plan this ahead of time. ]

[oathkeeper]

[The urge might be partly because Sora's own wanderlust is always there. He always wants to be doing something or seeing something new. And it's been a while since he's had an adventure.]

Uh-huh, we'd have a bunch of planning to do but that's what you're good for.

[He snickers playfully. Leaning over to kiss a crumb off Vanitas' lip.]

[darkcharge]

[ Because that's what Sora needs. Adventure. One would think nearly getting his ears and foot cut off that he'd not want to rush into adventure. Oh well. That's part of Sora's "charm" one has to think. Vanitas isn't sure about that. ]

Ah huh. Isn't that because someone is a bit too "spur of the moment?"

[ Right. A crumb. That's what Sora's going after. Sure. ]

[oathkeeper]

[And maybe just the tiniest little lick and kiss to Vanitas' lip. Yep. Sweet.]

I like to call it being adventurous!! We've got a whole world to see!

[And planning stuff is boring.]

[darkcharge]

An entire world that's far too infect for us to explore at length.

[ Augh. When Sora does that how can the Puca expect him not to kiss back. ]

Maybe when it is a touch warmer?

[oathkeeper]

I know we'll be careful!

[He stretches his legs under the table, looking very content after sweets and kisses.]

Spring would be good, how about then?

[darkcharge]

[ Vanitas ducks his head then. An idea has occurred to him... But will Sora go for it? ]

What about... For our anniversary?

[ Couples do things right? ]

[oathkeeper]

Huh?

[Sora looks up from his half contented state to blink at his bondmate. For their anniversary? Vanitas thinks of it like that? It makes Sora's heart bounce with such a soft flutter in his chest. He reaches out to take hold of Vanitas' hand.]

Yeah, let's go away somewhere for our first anniversary.

[darkcharge]

[ Should he... Not think of as that? Had he said something wrong? Vanitas can't really look at Sora until he feels that soft flutter across their bond. ]

You... You're really okay with that? Going away?

[oathkeeper]

[Of course he should think of it like that! It just makes Sora feel so happy to hear him say it out loud. His heart is still fluttering even as he smiles warmly.]

Yeah, I don't think I could want anything more than that! Our first anniversary should be memorable, right?

[He's happy. The fact that it'll be their first anniversary means he hopes there's more!]

[darkcharge]

[ Good. That's... Very good. Vanitas releases a breath he hadn't known that he had been holding onto. Then he buries his face into Sora's neck for a moment. They can go back to snacking in a moment. Right now he just wants to hide his stupid grin. ]

I hoped you'd say something like that. Wasn't sure if I read things right.

[ Relationship things are new to him. Even though he and Sora have been together for a while... Vanitas is still reading up and learning things. ]

[oathkeeper]

[That's adorable... Vanitas is always so tough about things but when Sora gets to see little soft moments like this between them he can't help but feel so enamoured.]

Heh- Vanitas-!

[He quickly scoops his arms around Vanitas, scooting closer in his chair and wrapping his arms around the other boy to squeeze and hug him a bit obnoxiously.]

I just really like it when you say stuff like that.

[Since being in an actual relationship like this still new for him too! Vanitas has all his Firsts...]

[darkcharge]

[ He'll allow it for now. Sora holding him close and sort of shielding his expressions so others cannot see. Yet Sora will know that they are there all the same. ]

I'm... Still learning. I want to do things right.

[ Perfectionist that he is and whatnot. He's also greedy, enjoying that he also has so many of Sora's firsts. There are going to be more as well. ]

[oathkeeper]

[Hearing Vanitas' voice against his neck makes Sora loosen his hold so he's not being so squeezy. Instead just holding Vanitas with a hand in his hair and cheek on his brow.]

Wanna know something?

[He nuzzles Vanitas.]

I'm always scared about screwing stuff up. I wanna do things right all the time. But I think since it's kinda scary it means that we both really wanna try. That should be enough, okay?

[They'll always figure it out, Sora thinks.]

[darkcharge]

Hmm?

[ He listens to Sora, tilting his head just so. His eyelashes flutter against the Puca's neck as the other speaks. Scared about screwing up? Van's not the type of person to tell Sora that he shouldn't be. Or that he doesn't screw up. He does. It's a concern. ]

Screwing up is also normal isn't it?

[oathkeeper]

[Sora squeezes Vanitas again. Affection flutters between them on their bond like sweet warmth.]

Yeah, you got that right. Sometimes we screw up and it's only because we're human. It is normal. But no matter what, we'd figure it out together.

[He trusts Vanitas with all his heart. Mistakes might happen, they're both two young boys just trying to figure stuff out. Together is better.]

[darkcharge]

[ Augh. This is getting ridiculously sappy. Van pulls his face away... Takes the spoon. Scoops up pudding. Shoves it in Sora's mouth. ]

Human. Interesting coming from someone with ears, horns, and a tail.

[ Don't worry about it though. Even though he says this, there's also warmth flooding back and forth between their bond. He's actually happy. Stupidly happy. ]
