Who: Sougo & Geiz
When: Deceuer
Where: Walking around randomly
What: Finding out if witch or monster
Warnings: None
[ It's almost two hours later when Geiz realizes he's walking around aimlessly while he tries to process everything he's learned about this place. It's not like he hasn't had time to absorb the entire situation. But he has so much more to learn about this place and the people here. He sighs a bit before he stops walking so he can think. The good thing is that he isn't lost, he's almost at the place where he'd first started pacing. Still, finding out that he's a monster instead of a witch helps him yet at the same time it irritates him. He can accept it, yes but at the same time it's annoying.
It's not something he can't get over though; in all honesty, he'll probably get over it in a day or two.
But he still needs to sort everything out in his head about being here, about what he's learned about this entire place and also about himself.
He hasn't been here long, but he knows he's lucky to have both Tsukuyomi and Sougo here with him. Not that he wants them to get in trouble or get hurt. It's just that they're both basically his best friends.
Nevermind the actual kind of sort of relationship he has with Tsukuyomi. But that's a thing to think about on another day.
Right now, he's going to try and maybe find a place to sit and think. He doesn't even seem to notice that Sougo is nearby because he's so intent about thinking everything over and over again in his head ]

At the same time, being a Witch has caused his body to literally be blown apart by magic, so now that his friends are here he can't say he really wishes that on them either. There's some definite downsides to being a Witch, even if the downsides to being a Monster are more obviously, and all he can really do is try and walk them through this mess as best he can.
Which, considering it's Sougo, is hard to say how thorough his walk through will be. Still, he's ready to theoretically answer all of their questions, and definitely ready to be in their company whenever he sees them.
Like right now for example. He'd love to spend some time catching up with his friend Geiz, but Geiz looks so deep in thought that Sougo hasn't bothered him even as he's been trailing behind him for just a little while. Geiz meanders this way and that, and Sougo follows behind at a bit of a distance like a duckling until Geiz finally takes a seat. Then, and only then, does Sougo finally speak up. ]
Did you finally get tired?
no subject
Why would I be tired? I'm used to training so hard that I spat blood up sometimes.
[ He keeps looking up, trying to figure out how he feels. This is all so new to him right now and it seems almost like it's a really weird nightmare instead of reality. So much so that it only takes a minute before he gives a shrug as a basic answer ]
Tsutha helped me find out that I'm a monster.
[ He's still looking up at the sky as he says this. The good thing though is that it won't take long for him to take everything in stride. He just needs a day or two to fully accept it.
And maybe some company ]
no subject
It's probably one of the things that made his future rise to power so unexpected.
The comment though has Sougo crinkling his nose in disgust. He's not sure if that's impressive or not, but it's certainly unpleasant. He can't exactly make any comments regarding that being excessive though, considering he's the reason Geiz was training that hard.
His expression shifts with the confession though, surprise almost immediately followed by relief. If Geiz had been a Witch there wasn't much that Sougo, a fellow Witch, would have been able to do to help him. Besides, as bad as the changes can be, and as dangerous as going feral seems to be for other people, it's not the same as a buildup of magic.
He wouldn't want to wish that experience on anyone else.
So he finally settles on a smile, easy-going and wholly inappropriate given Geiz's apparent mood in the moment. ]
Monsters are cool though. Ah, do you know what type already?

[ After a few seconds, Geiz stops looking up at the sky before looking over at Sougo. He still doesn't know enough about this place to take any sort of action, but it's comforting to see the look of relief on Sougo's face. He takes it as a sign that things won't be as bad as they seem like they'll be.
In fact, the relief on Sougo's face helps him come to terms with all of this. If he's going to be a monster, then so be it. As long as both Tsukuyomi and Sougo accept him then he won't care. So he shifts a bit on his seat before holding a hand out to Sougo as an invitation to join him as he sits there.
They can sit together and they can talk or they can be there in complete silence. Either works for Geiz as long as Sougo takes his hand. ]
Stay with me for a while?
no subject
Sougo is now realizing that he knows very, very little about monsters despite having been living among them for what is approaching a year now.
Geiz's invitation snaps him out of his thoughts, and he's quick to take him up on the offer. It's rare that Geiz actually invites Sougo to get closer to him like this, but while that is an exciting prospects in some ways, it also makes it clear that this is bothering Geiz some.
The way he was wandering around lost, the lack of energy, the sort of melancholy bent to his demeanor all seem to be pointing to that though.
He takes his friend's hand (maybe the first time they've ever actually held hands?), and gives it a small, comforting squeeze. If Geiz feels uncertain and vulnerable about this, Sougo doesn't want to make it worse by fretting over the situation. Besides, he already knows so many people who have adjusted to being Monsters. It's not always easy, but he'll help walk Geiz through it as best he can.
And also do some research once he nails down what kind of Monster Geiz is exactly. Sougo's personally leaning towards vampire. ]
Whatever you end up being, it'll be okay.
[ His words are so confident, and his smile so easy as he says that. ]
There are tons of other people here that have been through the same thing too, so we can find someone that can help you figure it out.
no subject
But it helps even more to hear those words from Sougo because for some reason it matters to Geiz what Sougo thinks. Hell, he's already said it, hasn't he? He yelled out that Sougo was his friend and would never become the despot he is in the future.
So if Sougo can help him with information, that'd probably help a lot too. He rubs a hand against the back of his neck, easing the crick in it before he sighs and asks this ]
What do monsters even do here? And can they be dangerous? Is there anything I should know about this change? Anything I should do?
[ Yeap, it's a barrage of questions but he wants to get to the bottom of this so he can find an even better way to deal as time passes on. Because he knows enough to know that it's going to take time.
How much time? He's not sure. ]
Sorry. I know it doesn't matter to you what I am or what I become here.
[ And it does honestly help, but Geiz wants to do things in the fastest and most direct way possible. So he needs Sougo to break open his head and give him all the facts one after another ]
no subject
He wonders if the changes will be hard on Geiz, they sometimes seem pretty tough on his friend Mikasa. Regardless, Sougo will do what he can to help, and he's really been working on his healing magic these days in order to do small patch jobs effectively as needed, so if Geiz ever ends up losing teeth to be replaced with fangs the way Mikasa did, Sougo will be there to heal up his bleeding gums!
That's friendship right there!
He gives Geiz's hand another little squeeze as he considers the question, shaking his head dismissively at the apology. ]
It's fine, it makes sense to ask them! Mmmm, I don't think Monsters or Witches really need to have roles or anything like that. If you mean like jobs? You can still do whatever would suit you best. Though for dangers...
[ He sucks in a small breath there. ]
For a little bit you'll be okay, but Monsters can go feral if they don't have a bond-- Ah! But you won't have to worry about that. Because I'm a Witch we can just form one, and then it won't ever be something that happens to you anyway. It's still probably good to know about that in case any other Monster goes feral though...
no subject
Is having a bond mandatory? Because I'd rather not have one.
[ even if it means he'll go feral. And he's already dealt with enough at this point what with being a monster. So he certainly doesn't want to be forced to make even more changes when he could choose not to. ]
Besides. I'm already feral.
[ He says begrudgingly, so there's no point to a bond because he's already had to feel out and adjust when he goes feral towards others ]
So there's no point to having a bond and whatever else that entails.
no subject
And a way that doesn't give away the fact that Sougo learned first hand the dangers of stretching things out for too long. His death can stay a secret from his friends if he has any say in the matter.
So after a moment of silence he shakes his head just a little. ]
Ah... I don't think we're really talking about the same kind of Feral. I have a friend who literally tried to eat people when she went too long without forming a Bond, so it's not a good idea. You won't have any control over yourself.
[ He offers Geiz a small, apologetic smile. ]
But if you don't want to with me that's okay, we can probably find someone else. It shouldn't be a problem for you to be without one for a couple of months anyway.
no subject
So he sighs and nods his head in acquiescence ]
Alright, let's form a bond.
[ Those are hard words to say, but Geiz honestly doesn't want to hurt an innocent person just because he's uncomfortable with a thing like this bond stuff Sougo is talking about.
As for Sougo dying- . . . well, eventually that will come out some day. Maybe.
Who knows? ]
How do we do this?
[ Straight to the point as usual for Geiz. He wants to get this bond thing done and over with so he doesn't give himself any time to change his mind ]
no subject
We'll need to talk to the Coven first, they have to set up a circle for us to stand in, but it's pretty easy other than that?
[ Something seems to occur to him, and his smile slips. ]
You're supposed to have some kind of vow, but I think it's fine if it's really simple? I didn't have anything fancy with the other Bond I have.
no subject
Then let's go right now. I'll come up with a vow while we walk there.
[ He stands up but doesn't let go of Sougo's hand. It's comforting to be able to have that contact while he's still feeling a bit vulnerable. Not that he'll ever admit that ]
Which way do we go?
[ Geiz still hasnt really memorized where everything is yet so Sougo will have to lead ]
no subject
He won't mention that part to Geiz. It had felt kind of strange to make vows to another person when he did it with Mikasa, and he doubts it'll be any less surreal with Geiz. If anything, it'll be even more bizarre.
But it'll be fine, because he'll be doing it with his friend. Plus, hand holding is part of the ceremony, and Geiz seems to have that part down already.
Sougo gives him a reassuring smile as he stands with him, before gently tugging him forward. ]
This way. If they're free it probably won't take too long for them to set it up for us.
no subject
And being able to hold Sougo's hand like this is a sort of new development. They'd actually gotten close enough, mostly through Sougo's excited zeal in trying to make friends with him, that Geiz is fine with it and comfortable enough with it that it just seems natural now ]
How long is the actual ceremony?
[ It better not be longer than at least two hours. Despite that thought, he allows Sougo to lead him along with a frustrated sigh.
The good thing is that he hasn't actually correlated bonding with getting married. So it being something similar to a wedding doesn't even occur to him. He just follows after Sougo, trusting in him enough that he doesn't ask any more questions.
He does however try to pay attention to their surroundings so he can make his way around afterwards without needing another person to give him directions or ending up getting lost by accident. ]
no subject
So Sougo wants to do the same for him too during this clearly difficult moment for Geiz. It's funny, but Sougo has rolled with the knowledge that he was stuck in a new world so easily, but he also hadn't had to deal with the knowledge that his body would be changing in weird and unwanted ways.
Monster puberty seemed like hell.
Sougo hums thoughtfully to himself as he swings the hands they have connected together in an almost childish way. ]
Not too long? It takes longer to set up than it does to perform.
no subject
And Sougo is- he bites his lip a bit as he thinks and walks. Sougo is his best friend and even though he'll never really admit it, he does enjoy staying by Sougo's side the same way he stays by Tsukuyomi's side ]
How much longer till we get there?
[ He's only asking because he's a bit impatient. He just wants it to be over with now. Not because the idea bothers him, but because he wants to make super sure that he definitely will not hurt anyone after being bonded to Sougo. But he does recognize that the way he asked was a bit rough so he squeezes Sougo's hand to lessen the roughness and reassure Sougo that he's not mad.
. . . though just wait until he learns they'll share emotions through this bond. ]
no subject
Really, Geiz was the one to want to take his, so Sougo just went with it. He's oblivious to just about any and everything else going on here.
Even the fact that Geiz's squeeze is meant as an apology. Honestly, he's so used to Geiz snapping at him, that the tone rolls right off his back, and he just stops swinging their hands for a moment mostly so he can concentrate on trying to do the mental calculations in his head.
He was never good at this kind of thing though. ]
Maybe fiii... ten minutes?
[ He does not sound certain about that. ]
Not that far though.
no subject
If you get us lost I'm going to shave your head bald while you sleep.
[ It's not the worst threat Geiz has ever made against someone, maybe he's getting too soft. He makes a grumbling noise as they start walking again while nudging Sougo to take the lead instead. Because out of the two of them, Sougo is the one who knows this place better. ]
no subject
For example, despite threatening Sougo's hair, Geiz is also trying to nudge Sougo along, and that's the part that Sougo is going to focus on as he continues to lead his friend to the Coven. ]
I know where I'm going!
