Lawn & Order
Who: Minato Arisato and Ren Amamiya
When: Early October, after their first daeto
Where: Throughout the city
What: They're doing the Lawn & Order quest
Warnings: Excessive cute?
It had taken a few more days, but Minato felt like his usual self by now. No more fatigue in the middle of the day or feeling weak and heavy and needing to sit down at random moments. So, to get back some more semblance of normalcy, he decided to take on some part-time work and, of course, asked for some assistance. Recovering or not, raking up leaves throughout the whole city was going to be tough work.
So, of course he asked Ren to come out and help him. He held the bag open for Ren to drop the leaves in, one headphone clipped to an ear and the other was left bare so he could listen to Ren.
"How many bags to do you want to go for?"
He was aiming to get at least a good amount done. The more money the better, especially since they were splitting it. But there was only two of them, they could only carry so many. Although dropping them off a few at a time was likely okay with the people who set it all up. But that didn't mean he could make Ren do this all day. Minato wasn't even sure he wanted to do this all day.

"Hmm."
Daydreaming: on hold, head: empty, no thoughts to be found as Ren shovels a few armfuls of the gathered leaves into the trash bag, only to be expected to respond, horror of horrors.
"I kinda thought we'd do as much as I could carry, considering you just got done dying for more or less a week." He straightens up and drags the back of his hand across his forehead just to feel the sting of the steadily cooling evening prick at the small bit of sweat that had built up. "You know any levitating spells or anything?"

Even silent protags have to speak sometime, Ren.
โI wasnโt dying last week,โ Minato replied with a quiet annoyance and a roll of his eyes. Not that he was actually annoyed. Hm, levitating spells. That would be convenient. Alas. โNo. Still only on the elemental spells. Wind would just make a mess.โ

Ren's eyebrows climb over the rims of his glasses - you sure? It looked like you were dying, pretty sure you were dying - before he lets that angle drop, looking speculative.
"What if you used wind to carry the bags themselves? We'd have to make sure the openings are secure but in theory it could work."

He gave their current bag a considering look at that suggestion. It wasn't that it was a bad idea, he had just never used wind like that. It would probably take a lot of concentration, right? And figuring out how to lift it. Like, encase the only thing in a ball of wind? Do it from the bottom?
"It could but I'm not sure of the physics behind it," He explained. He was used to using the spells similarly to attacking with a garu spell. Which would do no one good. Not to mention things carried by the wind tend to be swept away much like in a storm. Why was he thinking so hard about this? He was just going to tire himself out like this.
