Anyway, after all that...he starts sending a lot of daemons after us and closing off the Crystal.

So we...go for the Crystal, right? Since it's supposed to get rid of the daemons.

[That is about half of what he knows about it, aside from it giving his family their powers.]

You go. The rest of us stay back to fight them off...and, uh, I dunno who started the rumor about the Crystal stopping the daemons but it doesn't. It just...basically sucks you into it.

Whoever started it knew what they were doing, because I believed it.

[Okay, he knew it did other things, but people liked to keep him in semidarkness about too many things, so that's his excuse.

What Prompto just said it did is not some thing he knew it to be capable of.]

No clue. By the time we got to it, Ardyn was the only one there and...well, we tried to kill him but he can't be killed, Noct. Not by normal weapons.

No kidding. I found that out on the train. Met the Glacian, she froze him solid and I shattered him. He came right back like nothing even happened, like it was a prank he and she were in on.

Not much, honestly. We got out of Gralea, got back to Lucis, and split up to start tackling the end of the world. I was with Wiz, getting his birds and other animals onto a ship, when I got pulled here.

[That's why he had Primula with him.]

End of the world...

[By the time they'd reached Gralea, everything had been in perpetual dusk, so he's guessing that the sun stopped coming up altogether eventually. But that meant that the daemons would soon be out in full-force all the time...maybe 'end of the world' was an apt description.]

I take it Arydn wouldn't let you take the Crystal back with you.
