[It's a sort of chill that goes through the room, or at least himself and Geralt. Jaskier is light on the details of Sodden, but Yennefer, during their short conversation, had said enough. And with Geralt's dusting on top of it, it seemed a terrible sort of thing to bring up at all.

Though, if you asked Jaskier, he didn't believe Yennefer was dead at all. It was a bit hard to believe, with her utter teeth-biting tenacity.

Perhaps it was a little depressing as well.

Shockingly, he lets the topic pass, too.] If you're willing to share them. Without, er, unsolicited displays of said notes. [ She’s still not sure where the time went, but dawn was approaching and she could see the slight restlessness in Geralt’s posture and the shift in his gaze. Telepathy had been so much a part of her life, it was strange to be without it now. But, that was perhaps for the best at this moment. Even without that particular skill, though, she could still read a room.

The mention of teeth warrants a slight arch of her eyebrow on her otherwise neutral expression. ]

No, I can’t say I have a use for them in my garden at this time. [ Part of her wants to send them on their way, but she also knew how traumatic it is to go through the change and to watch it. ]

Will he be as exhausted as he was after the last time? It might be best if I go with you just in case.

[ She finishes her own glass and rises to her feet before Jaskier can respond, having already made up her mind. Two witches were better than one at times. Especially if anything goes wrong or anything attacks in the middle of the transition. ]

[ If there's ever a time for a wolf to look greatly displeased, it's now. Geralt turns the expression on Jaskier. So much for discretion. ]

It's exactly like last time. [ That comment is meant for Yennefer. He doesn't usually take her as one to be bothered by a messy transformation. But his obviously had that night, in a way that tells him he's missing part of the story. It hasn't gotten any better, other than the fact that he's not got dozens of injuries.

Still, he knows better than to explicitly insist she stay or go. Geralt has learned to pick his battles. (Sometimes. Not always.)

If he had it his way, though, he'd be doing this alone. Away from prying eyes -- even those of people closest to him. ]

[Jaskier deals with so many displeased faces that it doesn't phase him. Who knows what it's about this time? He's only being honest. That transformation involves more teeth than it should.]

I suppose that's a yes.

[He looks to Geralt. He's not here to decide either way, as his bonded. But it does frighten him a little, how overall traumatic it appears to be. The teeth, the snapping bones.]

Loathe as I am to admit it, Yennefer's a better healer than I am. She could help make it a bit easier on you.

[ There's no arguing from her, strictly from an empirical point. She's had access to magic far longer than Jaskier so transitioning to a different form of magic is just another nuisance at this point in her life. ]
