What: Open and closed prompts for events and quests and whatever strikes our mutual fancies. Prompts are in the comments.
Warnings: Minor blood. Mimes. Will add warnings as/if they come.

➤ Red-String Strung Along. Soren and some poor shmuck (your character) discover that they are ~destined to be~ via the red string spell that went haywire. Original prompt can be found here.

➤ Match Made. Two prompt flavors: help Soren try to find mates for difficult customers, or get paired up with him for a complimentary date instead and see if you can get him to say yes. Quest page can be referenced here under the part-timer quest titled Match Made.

➤ Forget-Me-Nots. Two prompt flavors: Soren experiences pleasant memories while picking flowers, and then there's the option where one of those flower-loving foxes bites him, causing him to accidentally poke himself on the toxic thorns. Quest page can be referenced here.

( so lulled is his aching heart by this cherished and vivid recollection that he leaves himself rather open for aziraphale instead of closing up and deflecting his curiosity. his happiness wanes to something more wistful: still distant, the smile shrinking but still present as he turns his eyes up to the brambles above to reflect. ) It was of my friend.

( they're all of his friend. )

He is not here, so the memories are especially potent.

( softly said as he moves to kneel down beside where soren is crouched. he thinks that if they were going to have a conversation like this, he should let him know that he had his full attention.

It seems like the two of you were rather close. Have you known him long?

( he looks back down, a bit away from aziraphale as he speaks. he's letting him see what really makes him tick at his core, which makes him feel somewhat antsy and exposed, but... at the same time, the mood in the air is helping to drop his guard enough not to just brush him off or change the subject. )

I have known him since we were just children.

( their story is much more complicated and may impart a different impression than simply meeting someone when they were so young, but he can say at least that much. talking about his favorite thing in the world brings him a curious source of joy amid the ache of having been apart from him for over a year, and not on his own terms or with a guarantee that he would ever find him again. )

childhood friends! he has always thought it to be a lovely concept that humans get to have such a thing. someone to grow up alongside, navigate through the trials of adolescence with, and they struggle with what it means to be a good person. it's a precious, wonderful thing. a childhood friend must be like no other.

What sort of person is he?

Open-minded. Big-hearted. Strong in body and spirit. No one can measure up to him. Ike is everything a warrior wishes to be and everything a man should. His experiences forced him to grow from the untested son of a mercenary commander to a hero lauded across the continent for his role in restoring our homeland, and a few years later, humanity itself. Numerous kingdoms and their leaders came to depend upon him, and he never let them down.

( soren is positively brimming to himself. he finally sends his eyes back up to aziraphale, and never before has the angel seen such wistful passion dance for him in a dragon ordinarily so cold and practical. this is who he really is, deep down where it counts. )

No matter what hardship or atrocity was thrown his way, he overcame it. And it never managed to harden or destroy the kind and unprejudiced person he was when I met him.
