Who: Sora + You!

What: A catch-all for the month of August including closed threads inside. As well as near the end of the month Sora runs into some bad characters on the street and happens to get kidnapped by some desperate Dorchacht smugglers and possibly sold to the underground markets still trying to deal in the shady “monster part” trading business there. [A: first, we're goin' to set some bait]

[It’s a normal day in Aguril and the city is bustling with life as usual. One puca boy is making his way up the road with a paper bag of various fruits and vegetables in his arms and is heading back home to get them into the icebox. The summer heat doesn’t do much to Sora even with his body now covered in patches of soft brunette-coloured fur. But the heat might do something to his newly purchased greens and treats, so he wants to get them home soon. A rabbit has to have snacks!

He’s not quite paying attention to his surroundings enough and doesn’t notice a pair of cloaked figures just down the road amongst a grove of trees. There is a small clatter of wooden wheels against the pavement and Sora stops for a moment to look up at the cloudy sky.

That is when his vision suddenly blurs, and pain erupts against the side of his head as he's clubbed with a wooden bat. It happens so quickly that Sora falls like a sack of bricks. His shopping scatters on the ground and the two cloaked figures throw a black sheet over him and scoop him up. They start quickly retreating to the back alley where a wooden cart is waiting...

Perhaps you're nearby and happen to hear the clatter or odd noise. Maybe you see the whole thing happen. They are clearly amateurs. But they are amateurs who are now stuffing Sora's knocked out body into a wooden cage on a cart. Perhaps you attempt to rescue him but at this point of time they will get away. But that doesn’t mean you can’t rough them up a bit if you so choose!]

[B: inside a nasty trap and wait]

[People who are bonded to Sora will notice the sudden dullness in their bond with him first. There will be a strange static-like feeling that only gets worse when they try to reach across the bond to him. It is like he's inside the city still but there's something that is muting his monster signature and his location on the magical bond. If anyone tries to contact Sora through alternative means such as their devices no responses will be given. Which is strange because he always answers his messages!

Although there might be some ways to try to find out where Sora is. Witches who know how to tap onto Divination might be able to scry where he might be heading. Or better yet maybe a witch can start some sort of magical conversation with his sleepy mind.

Somewhere along the way Sora wakes weakly in his wooden caged cart and finds himself travelling ... somewhere?? He can feel the temperature drop several degrees so it feels like they might be leaving the city. Because of that Sora tries his hardest to gather enough strength (did they drug him or something??) to create a small little red butterfly with his Illusion magic. Who knows... Maybe it'll be able to communicate with someone. It should be able to write messages or even make a noise or two but it won’t last long!]

[C: when he comes a-sniffing we will]

[If you managed to follow the smugglers into the wilde and towards their den, you’ll find that they haven't left the place unguarded. The den is nestled up in a rocky alcove that is covered in cold heaps of snow and old broken tree branches.

Just outside of the den is a large feral looking hyena creature that isn't happy to see you. Long sharp fangs protrude from its lips and four spider-like eyes stare at you with clear angry intent. It growls at a higher octave than expected and takes a step forward.

You’ll have to deal with this first if you want to get into the den.]

[D: snap the trap and close the gate]

[Inside the cavernous den itself is the dank smell of odd leathers and rotting spices that hang in the air like it is all growing much too old. There are torches lining the cavern walls but it leaves the den dim and hard to navigate. Walking the narrow path that have been dug in is uneven on the feet.

Depending on how one explores the den it all comes to one central spot at the back. There are collections of jars, boxes and crates filled with who knows what. Some jars seem to shimmer with old dragon scales, rusted old weapons line the walls and various liquid and powdery substances sit murky in vials scattered about. ]

"Just get it over with already, bastard!"

[A voice rings out angrily from the other room. If followed, Sora can be found held down against his will across a large wooden table. He struggles weakly but the man holding him has a painful grip and a large meat cleaver held high in his other.]

S-Stop!

[Sora tries to struggle. But he can’t move well. They must have put something in his system to make him feel weak. The other man across the room reaches out and yanks Sora's long rabbit ears with one hand and slaps them against the wooden table with Sora wincing painfully.]

"Get the ears and then take off a foot. Have you heard how much a lucky’s rabbit foot can go for? Hurry up, the shipment has to go out tonight!"

[A rescue would be good! Anytime now!]

[E: wildcard]

[ It's fine. For now. Vanitas will just have pink on his ears and cheeks throughout the entire process. However, Vanitas does hang up the other suit. Very carefully. ]

You make it seem like I wear the same thing all the time.

[ Or is Sora complaining about the more form-fitting attire that Vanitas prefers? ]

I mean look at you. It's shorts all day every day.

[Sora hums lightly as he hangs outside, folding his arms behind his head casually as he does.]

They're comfy and easy to wear.

[Pants just feel weird to wear at this point. Is Sora really that weird? Probably.]

Seeing you in something fancy is cool, though. It's something new to try. That's the point, right?

[ Vanitas quickly slips on the rest of the suit, doing the buttons as well. ]

And what about you? Planning on wearing shorts to this wedding as well?

[ Has Sora ever really worn proper pants? Like ever? ]

I thought the point was finding something appropriate. Not trying things on for the sake of it.

I was thinking I could at least roll up my pant cuffs. What do you think?

[Sora snickers playfully.]

But yeah, I guess you're right in the end. Come out here, I wanna see.

I don't think that would be very proper of you to do.

[ Not if Sora is going to make him wear one of these things. Nuh uh. The Puca is going to have to wear his little tux properly if Vanitas is going to. That's just how it's going to work.

Though he does come out at Sora's request. Then continues to stand there awkwardly. ]

Well?

[Sora is thoroughly scolded! Fine, he'll wear a proper outfit as well! Pants and all.

But when Vanitas steps out Sora's thoughts get sidetracked as he stares at the other. This suit is so well fitted and looks so much better than the other one. He's kind of speechless.]

Uh- Wow.

[Sora's cheeks light up with some pink. And the flicker of fluttering attraction is hard to miss over their bond. Whoops.]

... I think that's the one!

[ He can see the blush on the cheeks. Feel the attraction and it causes his own to filter back through the bond. He huffs and looks off to the side. If it causes this sort of reaction then maybe it isn't so bad at all. ]

If you think that it's the best one...

[ Then he looks back at Sora, tilting his head to the side. ]

Isn't it your turn now?

Erm-! Yeah! My turn.

[Sora looks away and ruffles at his own ears with a small grin on his lips. Then he quickly scampers away to pick his own colours with the help of the attending faun.

Sora picks out blue where Vanitas has red. So he comes back to try on a blue get up that's just fancy enough to pick at Sora's dramatic tastes. Then he comes to go try that one on for himself.]

I hope I can get this tie right. Ahhhh!

[ All the while, Vanitas is removing the suit and putting it up neatly, just like he had done with the other one. However this is probably going to go with them so he takes it out with him. Sora darts in right as Van pops out.

He hands it over to the faun who leaves to goes to put it in some sort of packaging. Then Vanitas waits outside for Sora. ]

Did I see an all blue thing in your arms?

[ He gets his answer as the Puca comes out and Van puts a hand over his mouth. To stifle snickering. So much blue. ]

You'll definitely stand out.

What's wrong with blue and standing out?

[Sora laughs too. He likes the vest but he's still fiddling with the tie and is obviously tying it wrong. But it's fine enough.]

Does it look okay?

[He grins and winks for emphasis.]

You always stand out, Sora. It doesn't matter what you're wearing.

[ Because Sora lights up any room that he wants to. He just reaches people. Gets their attention. There's no need for a flashy blue suit. Vanitas just doesn't want to quite say it like that. ]

It looks fine.

[ The tie is so wrong. So, so wrong. ]

[Sora grins at the half compliments and he smooths out the front buttons with his hands. The pants are a bit uncomfortable but he's happy with this. He feels fancy. Fancy pants.]

I'm okay with that. I'll take this one then.

[Easy as that.]

Pffft. You get the first one you put on and I had to try on two?

[ Huff! ]

Now how is that fair? Shouldn't you at least have to try on another?

[ Vanitas is going to put his hands on his hips and give Sora a little look. ]

It was your first time trying something like this on, so!

[Sora snorts and shakes his head.]

Fine, fine! I'll pick one more! But then you have to pick which one I should wear.

[He grins playfully in return. Then it's time to go pick another and Sora gets to pick something like this. He changes into it and then struts out to strike a goofy pose.]

How's this?

As if you've really put something like this on before...

[ Is he calling Sora out a little on that? Oh sure. Definitely. But Vanitas says nothing more of it. He watches Sora leave, snatch up another outfit, and lingers as the other teen changes.

Then Vanitas decides to be something of a brat. Sora wants to be a goofball? Well Vanitas can breech that personal bubble, fingers running down the lapels of the suit. ]

I like it. Makes you look more mature, brat.

[ Sure is going to embarrass the other with a form of PDA by brushing lips against Sora's temple. ]

But which one makes you more comfortable?

[Vanitas-! He can't just act all smooth and cool and make Sora's fur stand right up when Sora's trying to act like a dweeb!!]

Ah- Hey. [Sora's cheeks warm! He looks up at his bondmate and doesn't shy away from the touch at all. This makes him feel good. Even if he's trying not to feel too embarrassed!] Do I really look more mature like this?

[Anything to help with the babyface, honestly. Sora touches his fingers against the back of Vanitas' hand.]

I think I do like this one. The yellow is nice.

Do I say anything that I don't really mean?

[ Vanitas snickers, now grabbing at that tie and tugging Sora closer. Heck yeah he is going to act smooth when he wants. It's time to make the other fluster just a little bit. ]

It does look good on you.

[Long rabbit ears perk straight upwards. The tug makes him come almost nose to nose with Vanitas and Sora heart skips a few beats.

It seems that this sort of thing is fairly common for the faun woman to see so she happens to busy herself with folding some clothes...

It's good thing Sora's much too busy watching Vanitas' expression to notice her anyway. Sora's cheeks light up even brighter and his fingers reach up to touch at Vanitas' shirt too.]

You can stay stuff like that more often if you want...

[He likes when Vanitas praises or compliments him. It's true.]

[ The faun probably sees this all the time, especially between bondmates. It can't really be helped, can it? Might be especially bad during the full moon phases. Besides... Sora is a Puca and they're known to be. Ahem. Too bad Vanitas is doing nothing but encouraging any sort of behavior. ]

Now I can't do that. If I were to complement you all the time, the effect it has would wear off.

[ Grin grin grin. ]

[The grins and smiles make Sora's own smile grow wider. He just can't get enough of moments where he can see that genuine smile! It makes such a flutter of a very deep affection and emotion for Vanitas in his heart.]

I don't think so, maybe we should test that out. I'm pretty sure I could hear those sorts of things from you all the time.

[Puca are ahem to be sure so Sora suddenly surges up to kiss Vanitas gently on the lips. In clear view of the whole store.]

[ It has been a long time coming, in some respects. Vanitas has been here for almost a year. Add to the Bonds that are currently restoring his heart? A lot of those rough edges are starting to smooth out. The fact that he's even now capable of expressing and understanding true affection is just a testament to everything that has transpired since he's been here. ]

That's because you like praise as much as I do.

[ He should have known that Sora would steal a kiss. There's always one that comes with that sort of bloom of affection from the other. However Vanitas is still a little flustered when it's done in public - when he isn't the one that instigates. So he bats at Sora with a huff. ]

Okay, okay... Go change.

Heheh.

[Sora lets out a soft snicker and then untangles from Vanitas so he can go get changed back to his normal attire. It's still a little fun for Sora to tease and advance back on Vanitas just like that. It goes both ways.

So once Sora is back in his clothing the faun woman packs up both suits for them and they check out. Once they are ready to do they find themselves back out on the busy streets of the city with shopping bags in hand.]

That wasn't so bad! What's next?

[It's ear piercings isn't it...??]

[ The Faun actually seems pretty chipper about the whole thing. Perhaps because they really had been here to make a purchase and not just to fool around? At any rate, she seems pretty happy to ring them up and take their cunes all the same.

It's not until they're outside the shop that Vanitas clicks his tongue against his teeth. ]

You want to get your ear pierced.

[ And Vanitas likely to get one to match Sora this time. ]

[And just like that Sora's ears twitch almost comically.]

Oh- Yeah! Right! Where should we go for that?

[He's not nervous! Okay maybe just a little! But he really does want to match with Vanitas.]

[ Vanitas takes Sora's hand and tugs him along. Thankfully he already knows where he is going. ]

I figured we would just go to the same place that Lavi took me the first time.

[ Sora's totally nervous. ]
