[ Siegfried’s shoulders visibly relax when he sees that Zack’s efforts have successfully calmed the child into complying. She’s certainly different than any one Siegfried has laid eyes on, even considering the characters he’s seen here or back home. Her legs are littered with scales, ending with the characteristic komodo dragon feet that leave behind the very trail they’d followed. But her back carries a pair of wings, colorful and vibrant… a bird of paradise, perhaps?

No matter. She looked free of injury, and that’s what mattered. He steps forward now, giving her a small smile. ]

Don’t worry. We’ll find them, and ensure all of you get back to your homes safely.

[ She smiles, thanks to Zack reassuring her. ]

Do you remember at all a direction in which one of them may have ran off in?

[ “I’m not sure, but I know they all ran into the forest to find a place to hide! I… didn’t make it that far.”

He’s already looking around, trying to find any signs of a trail to follow. There are more tracks, not belonging to the girl or the monster, but they disappear into foliage and thick forest, mud turning into long grass. ]

Hopefully at least two of them stayed together.

[ This is a bit tougher, now that they have a little girl to mind, so they can’t move as quickly or act as recklessly, but they’ll make do. As they begin to move, she suddenly takes ahold of Zack’s hand, not wanting to be separated from the person bringing her comfort. Siegfried can’t help but smile. ]
