[ He catches scent of something far before Howl ever knocks on the door, even moreso due to his increased sensitivity when it comes to smell. For a moment, he wonders if there's a flower vendor passing by, but the scent doesn't pass.

It's only when he answers the door and ushers Howl inside that he realizes it's Howl who smells of Hyacinths, a pleasant scent that makes him feel as though the garden is within the home.

He smiles politely in greeting as he parts away from the counter. It's a rather unorganized mess at the moment, as he couldn't decide whether to sort based on type of material or color. ]

Hello, Howl. Actually, I haven't finished sorting through everything. So I apologize, but there's a lot to sift through. Feel free to take as much as you'd like.

[ In the meantime, he'll continue sifting through some roots.

A few minutes pass, and the scent of hyacinths begins to mingle with something else in the air. Siegfried looks up from where he works, trying to place the source, then looks back to Howl. ]

Hmm. Did you activate another enchantment, just now?

There's no need for you to do any sorting.

[ Howl is likely to take anything he's interested in on first glance, and if any sorting is needed, he'll do it himself. The collection of magical knick-knacks makes his eyes light up; he hurries past Siegfried with a broad, excited stride. The mix of auras and essences emanating from the magical items on the counter distract Howl from noticing anything else odd about the room.

When Siegfried interrupts their small talk with his question, Howl doesn't look up from the rusted oyster knife he's rotating around with both hands. ]

Hm? No. Is something the matter?
