[Having spent so much of her life in space ships, travelling from one side of the galaxy to the next, it was an adjustment for Allura to spend so much time in one city. No matter how nice Aefenglom was, and how dangerous the cwyld is, she couldn’t help but get a little stir crazy.
Thus, when the call came for help at the outpost, she jumped at the opportunity. It was nice, to be outside of the city walls for awhile, and she enjoyed helping out – as an extra hand here and there, but her main purpose was magical.]
Excuse me, [She speaks up, hailing the attention of one of the mirrorbound that she’d assumed to be here as security,] I’m to travel to the edge of the Cwyld, and I need accompaniment.
[She’s not entirely defenseless – she has a staff and plenty of battles under her belt, but she needed to focus on the protection spells. It was safer to travel in pairs. ]
ty! is she dressed plainly btw? thinking on the royalty angle but assuming they're dressed down haha
[ needless to say, this setting and the challenges occasioned by it are also a significant adjustment for Gilgamesh.
in his mortal life, Gilgamesh was not one to accompany or assist others. he had only one friend, one companion: Enkidu. as a Servant in the Moon Cell's Holy Grail War, he traveled alongside his Master. but as for dealings with anyone else? Gilgamesh is not one to mingle.
yet, for an occasion such as this, there is no choice but to lend assistance. even a man such as himself finds his options limited by the circumstances they have all encountered.
therefore, when he hears Allura's entreaty, Gilgamesh turns to her with a look that might be described as sharply appraising. ]
Oh? [ he gives a dry, distant laugh. ] And who is this that addresses me, the King of Heroes?
[ he looks up and down at the stranger, lips quirking at the sight of her fine bone structure.
nobility of some kind, perhaps? if so, then one might say she is a sight for sore eyes. yet in this world, much remains uncertain. he can no longer determine a person's character by a single glance, as he once could. ]
Adds a bit about clothes in the meta :) plus crown
[He'd been the first person she'd approached because he was the first strong arm that she'd seen - all of the mirrorbound were in this together, so there was no reason to second guess who she would ask for help. But as he looks her over, and laughs, her expression shifts, her light, casual smile fading and her brow knitting together. Immediately guarded.
Her fingers curl at her sides, just above the hemline of her dress - she's dressed for a day of being on her feet, with a casual dress and boots, but still she gives the air of someone who likes to keep up appearances.
Tilting her chin up, she frowns,] I am Princess Allura.
[So Gilgamesh's assumptions would be correct there. She cants her head to the side, matching his appraising stare. Her bright, blue-green eyes looking him over.]
What is a 'King of Heroes?'
cool. :) I remembered you mentioned sparring, so I brought it up!
I am the first of all kings. Among kings, I am the King of Uruk, Gilgamesh.
[ Geardagas being another world, there is always some chance that they share a history. If so, then his title could hold significance for her. Whether it does or not, his identity remains intact everywhere he goes. ]
Ah, but what are you a princess of, hm?
[ he smiles, canting his own head. she does have a rather delicate appearance, and the points of her ears are suggestive of some manner of inhumanity? though it would be rude to say so. maybe even Gilgamesh can be cognizant of rudeness. but there is some curiosity in his expression. ]
I ruled my world, my garden, alone. I did not take companions. [ but despite that aloof posture, he waves, indicating she may fall into step with him. ] Yet it is a different world in which we find ourselves now. Thus I shall permit you to come with me. And I will extend protection to you for now, in the name of this occasion.
[ his tyrannical nature is somewhat pacified, in other words, by all of the opportunities to live as a hero-king within this world. besides, Allura looks to be on the delicate side, and he is really only interested in bringing his strength against those who are closer in aggression level and raw power to himself. though she might find that assumption rather condescending, their bodies having changed as they are. but perhaps there will be time to consider sparring, later. ]
[The way that she blinks at him suggests no such recollection. Such myths didn't make it so far as Altea. Beyond that, his otherwise bombastic way of talking has her staring, taking a few ticks longer to register what all he was talking about.]
I am not asking for a companion. [She flusters, not quite sure on the connotation on that wording, but as he turns and gestures to her, she trots at a brisk pace behind him anyway.] It's your duty to protect the outpost, is it not?
[Her voice has taken on a slightly defensive tone, feeling that he might be condescending to her. Moving faster, she catches up to him in a few steps, to walk beside. She is not here to be lead around,] And I am the princess of Altea. Daughter of King Alfor.
For Gilgamesh!
