[OPEN] We've got these summertime nights
Who: Connor & open (with some locked prompts maybe)
When: Through June
Where: Aefenglom in general
What: Berry picking (and getting drunk), teaching an automaton feelings
Warnings: None
Berry Picking;
[Connor knows how it feels to get drunk, if only purely from his Bonds. And honestly? He hates it. It throws him off balance both figuratively and literally, and he always ends up just laying down and waiting for it to pass. This is different though, and so he doesn't really notice anything is wrong for a while. The physical symptoms aren't really present, he just feels happy. Really happy. Giddy, even.
He manages to bump into someone with his little basket of berries, and for whatever reason the sight of the berries just rolling away is too much. He snickers, even as he looks up apologetically.]
I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at you... I'm not actually sure what I'm laughing at.
Mr. Emotional;
[You know what's hard? Teaching an automaton about feelings. Connor already tried to "convert" it the way he would an android back home. Failing that, there's nothing left but to talk to it. Which isn't a bad thing, but it's even more limited than an android is.
He's currently sitting and trying to teach it about happiness. It's only now that he realises he can't quite convey how happiness really works, and he doesn't know how to make it happy so it can experience the emotion for itself. Help?]

[He's not sure, but Hank was mostly concentrated on finding Connor when he started to feel weird. This probably looked weird to anyone looking on but he wasn't one to complain...well complain about this. Just yet. You know he was bidding his time.]
Yeah, let's get you home and figure out what's causin' it. Maybe a dip in the pool will help out.

[He leads them back out of the fields, still in an oddly good mood despite his concerns. On the way home he continues to hold onto Hank's hand, for no other reason than he enjoys the contact. The way their Bond reacts to it is pleasant.
As soon as they get back he lets himself in the house, and heads out the back door into the garden where he promptly strips away most of his clothing and dives into the water. It doesn't do anything to shake away the buzz he has, but it still feels good. He was starting to dry out anyway.
Of course once he's in the water, his playful Merrow side comes out full force, thanks to being tipsy. He swims in a circle and then splashes water at Hank.]
Come and swim with me?
no subject
Hey! Don't get water on my clothes!
[It's not like they can't dry or anything. There's a smile as he pretends to think about it.]
Dunno, you're not gonna try to seduce me, are you?
no subject
[He gives a playful smile, before swimming to the edge of the pool towards Hank and holding his scaled hand out.]
Or I can just swim with you. No seducing if you don't want me to. Promise.
no subject
[See, sometimes even old people like Hank had a playful side to them. True, Connor always seemed to bring out the best in him. The scare of Connor being 'drunk' was passing by quickly. He had half a thought to make a dramatic show if taking his pants off, but gave up on it.]
Lemme get my swim trunks. Actually there's been something I've been meaning to try. Sumo's involved.
no subject
[He does wrinkle his nose, though.]
Wet dog might kill the mood a little, Hank. What are you planning, anyway?
no subject
Oh. Thought it was just one of those eh...shit you say while you're drunk. Alright, Sumo surprise can come later. Who says it's anything involving wet dogs?
[Fine, he'll just look around to make sure no one else nearby is looking around before taking off his clothes and jumping into the GODDAMN WATER FUCKING CHRIST IT CAN BE SO FUCKING COLD WHEN HE STEPS IN AND-]
Guess you're stuck with the Hank surprise instead. Heh heh...
[He finally manages to finish stepping in with both his hands in the water (fuck).]
no subject
[He swims closer though, pressing himself against Hank's side and leaning his head against him.]
I like the Hank surprise already.
[Sorry Sumo, wet Hank is infinitely more interesting to Connor right now.]
I'm sorry if the water is cold for you... maybe we should think about heating it some time. I like warmer water, you know.
