Bedivere June Log [Open]

Who: Bedivere and Anyone
When: Through out the month of June except Litha Preparations which are pre-Litha
Where: The city, the Wilde, and the Coven
What: Catch-all post for quests and magic practice
Warnings: Potential violence in the Wilde quest, nothing at the moment for the others

Around the City – Festival Preparations

[A festival was about to happen, and Bedivere's interest had piqued with some curiosity thrown into the mix. But he had offered his services to help out in preparing for the festivities and that was what he was currently doing. A small pile of wreaths were carefully laid on the ground by his feet as he worked to hang them from places that would allow it.]

There we go. That should do it.

[He is careful as he works, but at his current pace he would be at it for a while, especially since he could only hang them up one at a time. He stoops down to gather up the wreaths so he could move them with him, which had him eventually awkwardly trying to slide them onto his arm one-handed, the last wreath giving him some trouble since he didn't want to damage them. A worried sound leaves him at one point but he keeps trying.]

The Wilde – Volunteer Work

[Bedivere had accepted the call for volunteers when the request had been made, joining in as someone who would be able to fight if the occasion arose. But he was more confident with his sword skills than his new-found magic, something he had needed time to wrap his head around.

He kept alert from where he stood, eyes scanning the the area to see if anyone would be approaching. Whatever may come or happen, he'd be ready though hopefully any violence would be swiftly resolved. So far though, nothing seemingly indicated it would get to that point, at least from what he could tell.

His arm was relaxed at his side, but still positioned so he could quickly grab his sword if needed. He doesn't move far from his chosen position all that much but if anyone were to approach him they will have his full attention.]

The Coven - Magic Practice

[It was strange suddenly having the ability to use magic. Never in his life did Bedivere have the capability for such a thing. After all, even though he had the honor of being a Knight of the Round he wasn't particularly notable. Taking in a deep breath, he brushes aside his reminiscence and tries again to focus on the task at hand.

It was supposed to be a fire spell. Nothing huge as he had opted to go for the more simpler spells to start out with. He tries to do as what had been shown and for a brief moment he thinks he was able to make a spark before it fizzled out.]

Hmm... Not quite there. What am I doing wrong?

Festival Preperations! hope this is alright

[Nothing could keep the Queen away from festival preparations. Nothing. Not this strange new bout of fatigue nor their even stranger surroundings. It helps, too, when she’s able to spot a familiar shape in the distance and instantly invites herself to approach.]

Bonjour! What a sight for sore eyes. My, my... aren’t these beautiful?

[She calls out, immediately assessing the decorations so far. Lovely, she thought, but much more could be done. Briefly Marie makes a mental note to inquire about where she might find 10,000 doves and 20,000 beds of roses. First thing is first, however, as her fellow Servant’s trouble becomes evident. A Queen might be more keen to direct, but she didn’t mind getting her hands dirty too... Hands that now reach slowly to pick up one of the wreaths by his feet.]

There’s so much to be done, isn’t there? Let me help!

[Marie nods with grace in response to his thanks. Looking around again at what has been laid out before them, she simply cannot refrain from giving her royal opinion.]

Wouldn't these be just lovely with a few more flowers? I wonder if they sell any red roses near by...?

[Looking up, Marie waits expectantly for instruction -- and, furthermore, validation for her flower decor addiction.]
