{open | event catch-all}
Who: Ozymandias + you
When: 13th
Where: Looking Glass House/Memories and/or other locations to follow up with him
What: Memsharing!
Warnings: Death, attempts at blowing up an entire city that one time. No other warnings as of now, but will add as needed!
[Strangers will see nothing and pass by Ozymandias' mirror. Much as with other strangers' mirrors, there will be nothing about the mirror that catches the eye or suggests that it even belongs to anyone. But with any sort of familiarity to Ozymandias, the frame gives way the identity of its owner near immediately. How could it not when there is a blatant depiction of himself at the top of the frame? Symbols of Upper and Lower Egypt mark the corners, his beloved wife depicted beside him. Further knowledge of him reveals more details than just this. Great structures and temples along the bottom of the frame. Ramesseum takes center stage. Monuments and depictions of his beloved gods appear interwoven with this seemingly impossible complex. Each side holds depictions of great battles, those he fought in life and those after. An archer, swordsman, and lancer stand in defiance of a brilliant sun on one side. A young man is half-turned, a sea of people reaching to him.]
[The frame itself is, of course, golden. It shimmers with precious stones for those closest to him. A small reflection of his radiant light as pharaoh.]
((ooc: these are ota as far as i'm concerned! some of the memories will have present-day ozy for your character to interact with during the memory while some are going to play out for a bit beyond what's initially posted here. i'm down for your characters interacting with the environment as much as they'd like! any questions or other requests can be pm'd to this journal or to me on plurk (
rebreather)!))

[Ozymandias hums his agreement as his younger self seeks his father's permission to go. Pharaoh Seti grants it as Ozymandias hums his agreement to Diana.]
She is the incarnation of Hathor. None could match her in beauty or the kindness in her heart. I fell in love with her the moment I met her.
From this day forward, she became my sun.
[Ramesses of the past helps Nefertari to her feet by offering his hand. Nefertari and Ramesses smile at one another, but there's a bit of awkwardness as neither one of them seems to know if they should let go at this point or not. They settle on the decision to let go after a few seconds, Ramesses hand dropping back at his side as Nefertari brushes a few loose hairs behind her ear.]

Such steadfast love, she couldn't help but admire it.]
Would you tell me more about her? I'd love to listen to your stories.

Of course! [Ozymandias follows Nefertari and his younger self at leisurely place. Although it had been a very long time since he walked the halls of this palace, he still remembered the way himself. And so, beyond merely admiring Nefertari, there really is no need for him to pay too close attention.] Are you familiar with the conflict between the Hittites and my kingdom?

[Some world history was mixed in there, but nothing quite as specific to Egypt.]
We have time, right? I'd still like to listen and learn.

So long as we find ourselves in this dream together, most certainly. But should we be interrupted, I do not mind speaking of it in the waking world as well!
[As one might expect from a pharaoh with as much self-confidence and frequently self-aggrandizing as Ozymandias, he certainly enjoys talking about himself and/or Egypt with little to no prompting. Providing him with the invitation is almost unnecessary.]
[Meanwhile, it's only a few moments after leaving their parents behind that Ramessses breaks the silence with a most eloquent,]
Um.

She genuine in her interest to learn more, to be sure.
And yet...]
I can see it took a while before you improved your speaking habits.

Would you like to see something? Before the household, I mean!
Can you fault me for it? I believe if you found yourself in the presence of similar great beauty, surely you would find words difficult.
If it would please you, Prince Ramesses, I would like to see it.
[Ramesses relaxes a little when she accepts the invitation to see more than just the household that she will soon share with him. He'd been genuinely nervous to ask her, fearing that she would say no or express only passive interest. But she is not just acquiescing to his whims, there is a genuine look of curiosity to Nefertari's eyes. Still, he offers her a correction.]
Ramesses, [he says.] We are to be married. So, I think when it's just the two of us, you should speak to me as any wife would to her husband.
