I would call that similar to Midgar. [With the exception of a singular company lording over everything (which is, admittedly, a reasonably significant difference), it pretends to run on a capitalist system that leaned hard into commerce. One might say that applied even more so to the men and women scraping by to survive on the lower plates more than the upper.]

The Gold Saucer is an establishment that prides itself on various forms of gambling - a big casino if you will. It's got flashy lights, gaudy decor, scantily clad women, chocobo racing, triple triad tables...all sorts of entertainment!
