[Hubert casually spreads his hands before him, much like he did in their first dream encounter.]

You are correct—nothing of interest. Merely the wake of what I presume was the Tragedy of Duscar. Pity, that.
bloodypath: (I will do it gladly.)

[The sudden movement prompts little reactions—a twitch of Hubert's fingers, narrowing of his eyes, tension drawing tight in his shoulders—but then it relaxes back into that same slightly-smug expression Hubert was wearing prior after a fraught second.]

[It isn't easy to force himself to react. Being within arms reach of an enemy always set uneasy needles pricking along Hubert's skin, but reason reassures him. This was a dream. So Hubert smiles down at the shorter man, not resisting.]

No right to see... what, exactly? There was nothing to see, other than you racing along the corridors after Rodrigue refused to answer you. Hearing, though—my, it sounded like your Prince had quite an episode of shock.

[His eyebrows raised, almost as if in pleasant surprise. Felix really has taken to his growling. Hubert wasn't quite sure what thread he found, but the way the swordsman suddenly relents tells him he found something.]

My, my. You truly are growing into your changes.

[His hands habitually rise to smooth out the wrinkles in his shirt.]

But, you are correct; I certainly wouldn't be. [He's seen enough of what's befallen Edelgard. More than he could bear to.] If I were a man of greater sympathies, I might give my condolences. But such is not the case.

[Hubert tilts his head, one arm folding across his chest and the other settling under his chin.] I admit—I'm surprised. That isn't the comment I expected you to take issue with.
