When I was younger, I began living in a different country after a turbulent period in my life, and I learned that they had a belief that fireflies are the spirits of warriors who died on the battlefield. [ a small smile ] I found it comforting, to go out into the garden next to my room at night and watch them fly around, and think, perhaps, someone I knew had followed me all the way there, or at the very least, some honorable souls were keeping me company even during a difficult time.
