[Hearing her reason, Dimitri spares a glance to the children he'd been teaching. They've begun to swing their swords again, wood knocking into wood as they play fight. All smiles and laughter now, but what will they return home to?

Do they have anywhere to call home?

Dimitri turns back, and his smile has diminished.] Everyone deserves a childhood, but the world forces so many to grow up too fast. I cannot give them back what they've lost, I'm aware...

If I can give them even just a moment of happiness - then I will do it.

[As one who lost his childhood too early himself, he knows their pain.]

[ His explanation came from a good place, but he hadn't really answered her question. Though she wondered if maybe that was too forward a question for a first meeting. ]

I think you did give them that today.

[ She smiles as she watches the children play behind them, the little girl beaming from finally being able to play with the other kids. ]

Though it would be nice if they had just as much fun from something a little less dangerous.
