[those living around the house or even maybe in the local area might notice certain things... missing.

namely blankets, pillows, bedding, shirts or jackets... gone.

the culprit? ventus. he's been 'gently borrowing' items to stuff in his bedroom and make a nest out of his bed. he's trying to be a little sneaky about it, but getting caught in the act may induce a run and chase if someone wants their item back.

[Ventus might be going around 'borrowing' blankets, but when Ventus comes to Roxas's room? What he thinks is a big pile of blanket is actually Roxas... underneath the blanket. He'd been taking a nap, but when Ventus lifts the blanket Roxas wakes up, blinking blearily as he looks at Ventus.]

...Ven?

[oh darn, this one is occupied...

ven tugs at the blanket, tail slowly wagging behind him.]

Oh, hey! I just wanted to, um... borrow this.

[. . .]

...what?

[His ears flick as he frowns at Ven, clutching at the corner he'd been sleeping closest to.]

...No. I'm using it.

I'll give it back, don't worry.

[tugging hard this time with obvious intent to pull it away completely.]

Ven, what the heck.

[He's holding on tighter to his section, ears angling to the side.]

Quit it, I'm trying to sleep.

You've been sleeping all day!

[and he feels like causing problems.

like firmly pulling the blanket away completely.]

Hey!

[That firm pull not only pulls the blanket off of Roxas, but also pulls Roxas himself out of bed. He lands on the ground with a rough <>thump! and an "Oof!"]

Ven!! [There's an actual growl in his voice when he says it, the hair on his neck and shoulders raising.]

[the moment roxas falls off the bed ven doesn't even bother to respond.

instead he just runs for it, blanket in hand. bye.]

[And when Ven takes off? Roxas's ears angle to the sides and he scrambles to his feet.]

VEN! GIVE THAT BACK!!

[There's an actual bark-like undertone that accents his shout, but he's too angry to notice or care, too busy giving chase to Ven.]

[and the chase is on.

ven is already peeling off down the hallway, blanket tucked tight against his chest to keep roxas from grabbing it if he gets too close. being barefooted he slides a little on the hardwood floor, nearly hitting the wall when he turns a corner to head for the stairs.]

VEN!

[And as Roxas sprints down the hall, Roxas is not far behind, thundering after him and yelling his name in that half-yell, half-bark of his. No doubt raising the alertness of the other housemates.]

[He actually does hit that wall Ven narrowly avoids, but it does little to deter him from his chase.]

[something definitely falls to the floor when roxas hits the wall, possibly a framed picture, but ven doesn't stop to find out.

he thuds down the stairs, taking two at a time before jumping the rest of the way down to the landing and running again.

if anyone gets in his way they're gonna be run down. accidentally of course because ven keeps glancing back to see just how close roxas is to him.]

[ He's not in the way on purpose because his nose is in a book, as per usual but. Well, Ienzo's still in the way at the end of the day isn't he. And wholly oblivious to the incoming tidal wave of turnskin.

Here soon lies one bun.]

[sorry ienzo because ven is definitely slamming into him now. he gives a small yelp but immediately scrambles back up to start running again, tossing an apology over his shoulder back to ienzo.]

Sorry, Ienzo!

[Sorry, Ienzo, because Roxas is hot on the heels of Ventus, touching down from the stairs as Ven crashes into Ienzo. But by the time he gets to Ienzo, Ven is already running again.]

Move!

[It's barked - literally - at Ienzo, and will be the only warning he gets before he shoves past.]

Then he's on the floor, winded with his book slapped over his face, like he'd suddenly decided to take a nap right in this exact spot. ]

Wh-??

[ He half registers the sorry's. But maybe he'll just lie here for a second to fully process what just happened. Yeah. ]

[he'll apologize to ienzo properly. later.

but despite how angry roxas sounds right now ven is having... fun? it's exhilarating being chased like this and the consequences of being caught aren't coming to mind right now.

going through the kitchen there's a door that leads into one of the reading rooms and the moment ven gets into the other room he throws the door closed on roxas before running again.

hopefully he doesn't run into it.]

[Roxas, too. Sorry, Ienzo.]

[Roxas is angry, and annoyed at Ven's antics. But deep down? There's a certain thrill he feels at this chase. A weird sort of joy at running after something, and actively pursuing a target, even if the target of his chase is an annoying blonde who stole his blanket.]

[He chases after Ven through the kitchen, vaguely aware of knocking something off one of the counters he brushes past. Ven throws the door shut in front of him, and Roxas does run into it with a loud <>WHUMP!. But soon he kicks the door open, which swings wildly and slams into the wall as he barrels past.]

[Oh, Ven is going to get it when he catches him.]

[his heart is thumping wildly when he hears roxas kick open the door behind him as ven turns into another room.

a part of him wants to try and head upstairs again for his own room. surely roxas wouldn't bust down his door if he locked it...

running into the living room he zig zags around the furniture, knocking into a table with a stack of books that causes them all to fall over.]

[Roxas is strong enough to smash a supercomputer to bits with a giant metal key, he can kick a door in even though it's locked.]

[As Ven zigzags around the furniture, Roxas tries to reach around the furniture to reach Ven, even vault over some of them. That table with the books stacked on it gets knocked over as Roxas knocks into it, and the couch tips over when Roxas tries to leap over it. He does manage to grab ahold of one corner of the blanket, but Ven's movements pull it from his fingers pretty quickly.]

[To be fair Sora heard the commotion about when it started. And as a poor rabbit decided to get plain out of the way. But that doesn't stop Sora from wanting to watch the chase go on. He's in the other room with a bowl of greens as he munches and watches the chaos unfold.

Sorry... His bets might be on Ventus right now...........

But what he's not expecting is for the boys to barrel through so quickly that the books get thrown off the table he's near and Sora literally jumps into the air.]

Hey!! Watch it!!

[That's his bowl clattering up into the air and landing face down on the ground with greens and cucumbers everywhere...]

My snack!!!!!

[ven's heart nearly stops when roxas manages to grab the blanket corner, but one quick tug back and it's gone from his grip again.

to add insult to injury ven blows a raspberry back at roxas. he'd laugh too if he wasn't so focused on keeping his breathing steady.]

Sorry, Sora-!

[another unfortunate casualty but ven is already heading for the next room before he can see what happened to sora's snacks.]

[If Roxas wasn't so focused on chasing Ven, he'd offer an apology back to Sora himself. As it stands, all Sora gets is a passing glance before he's chasing after Ven. Especially after that raspberry Ven blows at him.]

Oh yeah?! Get back here and do that to my face!!

[Said with a slight growl in his voice. As he runs by Sora he might accidentally stomp on some of those cucumbers]

No way!

[almost every room is in chaos now. ven runs down the hall heading for the stairs and taking a sharp turn his feet slip on the rug. he nearly drops the blanket trying to steady himself again fast enough before roxas can grab him.]
