[Corrin was caught between a bit excited and a bit nervous. Much like before with Edelgard, there was a lot of worry about inflicting her mind on someone else. But if it was going to be anyone, it would be Azura.]
We're almost there.

[ She shakes her head and rolls her eyes, but it's more at Ryoma's approach than Ryoma himself. She knows she has trust issues, but letting them all pour out in the barracks hallway isn't really how she wanted to solve it.
But anyway, on the topic of things that aren't the Lobster Prince, Azura lightly squeezes Corrin's hand and nods. ]
Mmm. To the left, yes?
[ She'd been here...once, with Niles that one time, and they were in a hurry. She was trying to remember where they were supposed to go for the ceremony stuff. ]

That does sound like him.
[She nodded at the question, sucking in a breath to steady herself. In spite of this being something good, she was definitely still nervous. Maybe this kind of thing always made people nervous, no matter how natural it felt?]
Yes. Through those double doors.
[Bare feet carried her in that direction, but she paused as they reached them, turning to face Azura. Her expression was a mixture of nervous apprehension and excited uncertainty.]
You're...sure, right?

I wouldn't have offered if I wasn't certain.
Shall we?
no subject
Yes.
[She squeezed Azura's hand again before moving forward to push the door open and step through. Inside was the bonding circle, with a single witch of the coven standing off to the side waiting for people to arrive.]
Whenever you are ready.
[The witch said before either of them could speak, gesturing towards the circle.]

Azura's eyes widen a little--she didn't expect someone to be waiting, especially during the evening, but hey. ]
I believe vows are traditionally said during these rituals. [ even if it made this all seem more like a marriage ceremony ] I did write something short, if it's acceptable for me to read mine now.

I...they are.
[Corrin was so bad at this part. Planning out what to say, trying to think ahead to how she would feel, how she would explain. She'd ended up winging it with Edelgard and that was pretty much her plan this time, first. She started towards the circle, coming to a stop opposite Azura, and then after an uncertain moment she reached her hand out for the other woman to take.]
Whenever you're ready.
[Her voice was quiet, but she had that reassuring smile of hers on her face again.]

Corrin, you are someone I trust not only with my life, but with my heart at its barest. It is a bit bruised, and it tends to stutter, but you are one of the reasons it still beats. You surely know much of this already, but I will swear to you that I will stand with you as long as my legs hold me up, no matter where your life takes you, no matter what circumstances may befall us.
Whatever providence deigned to tie us together before we had ever met was a fortunate one, for there are few others who are able to make me smile quite as easily as you. I hope to smile many more times with you, now.
[ Azura dips her head, grin evident on her face. ]

I never know what to say in moments like this.
[She finally said with an embarrassed laugh, though her red eyes stayed locked on Azura's.]
I...Azura, you changed my entire life. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't know where I'm from, the kind of history I had, the legacy we share. I...will be grateful for that for the rest of my life.
[She paused, drawing in a breath.]
And I can't imagine spending that life without you.
[She finished finally, a bit lamely, as she squeezed the other's hands.]
And thank you so much for asking me to do this. I'm not sure I would've found the courage to ask you myself.
