Who: Bernadetta and YOU

What: Bernadetta is having to adjust to some new changes. It's a lot to take in! For someone who is getting smaller every day...
Warnings: Hopefully just her usual anxieties. But I'll throw up a warning for potential mentions of child abuse (she had a rough childhood) just in case. Other than that it's just body transformation things!

A. Home is where the heart is (Closed to the people she lives with at the Lions or Eagles houses)

[Those who live with Bernie may not see her that often. Which, honestly, is pretty normal! She loves to spend time in her room and keep to herself. With that said there's always food for either household and she makes sure it's well suited to individual needs. Of course she makes sure that she doesn't make a mess either. After all she doesn't want to be a rude housemate!

With that said, her housemates might notice something rather...odd. Or maybe even a few things.

For one, she's definitely been getting smaller. She'd started out at around 5'5" but now those around might notice that she's got to have shrunk...several inches. Why, she's shorter than Edelgard now!

But there's more than that. Thin, almost hairlike things are starting to stick up from her hair. She's a little self conscious about how weird they might look so she's been dodging people. That and the fact that the window in the back of her clothes is definitely showing off very noticeable nubs that indicate her incoming wings. And are her ears...pointier?

Well she can't dodge people forever. Eventually one of them will find her! Especially if she thinks she's alone and has a space to do some sewing or reading in another part of the house.]

B. Sometimes she has to get outside

[It's rare for her to go outside right now with her odd looking changes but she knows she can't hide forever. Besides, she really wants to do some painting or sewing outside! Which means that she tries to find a private but pretty location to do just that. It helps that there's a lot of gardening things going on right now which happens to be one of her favorite things in the universe.

A nice vase of flowers arranged on the ground before her as she hums to herself while she either paints it or embroiders the design of it onto fabric. She seems lost in her own little world so she's not likely to notice she has company right away.

Don't let that stop you though. She might be jumpy but friendship is good for her!]

[ Carefully—because he's not looking to startle her and have to calm another outburst—Felix reaches out and taps one of the little nubs with his index finger, once, twice, trying to determine if they're any different from the rest of her.

Felix frowns. ]

You know that the city slows your transformation, yes? Or so the Coven's greeters mentioned.

[ A glance, again, at the antennae on the top of her head. They're small, but they remind him a little bit of something he's seen before, in dreams. ]

I don't think you're sick... but we were out in the Wilde for a long time. You may be changing faster than you realize. Have you noticed anything else... off about yourself?

I...I know.

[It's weird feeling his finger poking them. She moves her shoulders a bit, her shoulder blades moving them in the process. So apparently they are sensitive.

Turning back around, she looks down and worries her lip some before looking up at him. She looks determined when she does.]

But Sylvain needed me! So, it just...

[Just what? She doesn't know. Wait. That last question.]

Off? In what way?

[ Felix quirks the faintest shadow of a grin at her, not unfamiliar with that feeling—after all, it's the same reason he'd stuck so close by Sylvain's side during the expedition, especially after what had happened in the forest.

It's... comforting, somehow, to know someone else shares that sentiment, and he's not the only one watching Sylvain's back. ]

I only meant... [ He rubs the back of his neck for a moment, trying to find the right words to say that won't upset her. ] your moods, and if they've changed in any way. I've felt increasingly agitated, the closer we draw to the full moon. Overwhelmingly so, at times. I wondered if it was the same for you.

Oh. Um, I don't think so?

[Actually it makes her feel more anxious. Like she needs to be doing something. But considering anxiety is her natural state of being? Well, she hasn't really noticed yet.]

Maybe it hasn't gotten to me yet?

...Ah, maybe you're right.

[ Is he totally convinced? No. The moons have hit all of them hard, and what happened to Lorenz last month still weighs on his mind. ]

If anything should— [ He starts to say go wrong, but thinks better of it. ] —feel strange, let Sylvain know. I suspect he'll be more help than me these next few days.

What are you going to do?

[She hasn't really seen what is going to happen with him. Maybe she should know that? Just in case? Even if she doubts that she'll be helpful for Felix.]

I'm not certain yet.

[ It's hard to admit it out loud, but, well, all he knows is how his mood has shifted, and that he's been practically ravenous for the last week, and the closer they get to the full moon, the more certain instincts are starting to affect him. ]

The moon just affects me more strongly. I don't know what might happen when it's full—or if I might change. If I am any more agitated these next few days, I may have to isolate myself until it's over, but you don't need to worry about that.

Do you want snacks if you have to do that? Just in case you can't make it to meals?

[She can make snacks! Easy ones that will keep in case he can't leave! No reason for him to starve while he has to live the hermit life for a bit!]

[ Felix blinks at her, surprised by the offer—but before he can say anything in response, his traitor stomach rumbles one out for him, so quiet as to be nearly imperceptible if he hadn't just clammed up.

He hisses, rubbing at the back of his neck and cursing himself internally. A Turnskin's life is a hungry one, apparently. ]

...I certainly won't say no, even if it's only for the night.

Okay! I'll make sure you have snacks so you can eat! Maybe it'll help keep you from feeling lonely. I know I like to eat for that reason.
