A Mareuer Catch all
Who: Caren and co
When: Throughout March
Where: In Aef and Dor
What: Many quests, some rests, and
Warnings:
QUESTS
A) L'Amourtentia (NSFW possible!)
A sample...huh.
[She stared at the bottle in her hand. Here she thought that brewing would be enough, but Kiss from a Rose was promoting this...she knew that it was a thing, but still. Still, she had no idea what to do with this. Maybe it'd be funny if she spiked someone drink with it? Or would it be a not good prank? She had no idea.
Hearing someone come close, her head came up and her ears twitched.]
Mm?
B) Research Request
[Every so often she did a slow tour, just to see how things were going. Which meant...going to various libraries and shops in the city, and going up to the help desk, and talking quietly to whoever was there. She couldn't just butt in, thinking that they were doing something for her.
But she did look around. Eye contact? Could certainly happen!]
C) Sweet Chimera
[She had been hoping things would go well here. But...she wasn't sure. She was basically inviting a bunch of unknowns into what had been a personal project of hers. Still...she had to let go of some things sometime.
So while she was cloaked-covering up some of her more obvious injuries on her back-her gaze was alert, and she went over with a slight wave to catch their attention.]
Good day. Everything is going well so far?
[Nothing exploded? Please don't make anything explode.]
D) Desmodus Mori
[Thank goodness for the vampire bar. She had no idea if she was doing this right, if she should have gone to the Coven with it but...she knew vampires, and she wanted to make sure this was doing this right.
She slid in during the evenings, and at the bar she ordered a small drink, sipping it. Waiting to see what may arise, with or without her meddling.]
E) Continuing Conquests
[She needed to take it easier then she would have liked-mostly because she wasn't used to the hard labor. But she could and would be a good guard for those that were building their outposts.
Hearing footsteps, her ears twitched, and she glanced to the side, where she heard it.]
Hello?
[Are you coming to try and give her a reason to use her sword??? because her hand is on it!]
Aefenglom
B: Clothing Alteration
[She didn't work as many hours as she used to in Knit Wit, but she still went in on a semi regular basis, mending and altering, not seemingly having any trouble with the needle and thread. When she heard the bell tinkle above the door, her ears twitched forward, and she moved to come to the front, more curious then weary.]
Welcome to Knit Wit. What can I assist you with?
Wildcard
Aka hit me with whatever! But if you want to know of her usual to find spots:
-Outside tending her garden at the Monster mansion
-In the market, looking for meal things and Prim/sphnix treats

Wow, they’re so soft!
[ Even Stiles has some level of social grace. After a moment of testing the texture, he leaves her hands be. ]
It sounds like your transformation was, uh – [ Well, she mentioned blood. ] – not fun. But the results are pretty cool. You’re a Chimera, right? Hey, random question, but were you a chimera back home too? Like, did you ever have a transplant or graft? Ever absorb your unborn twin in utero?
[ Peak Stiles Stilinski, tbh. ]
no subject
And once he's done, her hand starts to drop and then-he has to ask that.
With a sigh she. Moves to plant her hand on his face gently, and gives him a gentle push.]
If you must know, I am not, in any way, shape, or form. If you're wondering about my hair, it's genetic.
no subject
Stiles blinks at the hand as it approaches his face. Weird, this doesn’t seem to be part of the measuring process. When she just shoves at him a bit, he squawks in protest. ]
No, I was actually wondering because of something in my own world. [ Straightening, he gives her strange-colored hair a cursory look. ] Back home, chimeras were created. But only people who were genetic chimeras were chosen for the experiments.
Do people ask about your hair a lot?
no subject
But after a quiet huff, she went back to actually start using the measuring tape to get his collar, his shoulders, and his upper arms. Just the quick basics.]
No, people don't ask about my hair very much. My eyes were gold too, before they were changed, but they didn't ask about them either.
There's no genetic chimeras that I'm aware of in my world, not unless you mean the blend of human and divine. And calling them that...that would be a good way to die quickly, or die a long, suffering death.
no subject
…“The blend of human and divine?” [ he echoes with skeptical confusion. ] Like, demigods?
no subject
Though naturally, there haven't been demigods since the end of the Age of Gods, and that was, oh...about at the dawn of Ancient Civilization.
So you can say they don't exist in the modern day.
no subject
…Okay, so if they don’t exist in modern day, what’s the harm in calling them chimeras? How’re they going to smite me if they don’t exist anymore?
no subject
And some of those chimeras, as you call them, are here, and tend to follow the old rules. Have you ever read Greek mythology? Or have it, where you're from?
no subject
Yeah. I’m from a version of Earth. Twenty-first century, if that helps. Why?
no subject
To put it as gently as possible, you could be putting yourself in fatal danger if you're not careful.
no subject
…I talked with a guy like that, actually, [ he admits, thoughtful. ] Claimed he was Ozymandias, as in Ramesses II.
no subject
[Her tone implies you dummy. Sorry Silas.]
no subject
Yeah, yeah. I get it. So, I’m guessing you’re from that world too? The one with heroic spirits?
no subject
Who told you about heroic spirits?
no subject
Uh…Marie Antoinette explained them to me. Then I asked Ozymandias if he was one.
[ It occurs to Stiles now that this young woman may also be a prominent historical figure. Eyes widening, he studies her more closely. ]
Who are you, by the way? You can call me Stiles.
no subject
[She smirks, and started to reel in the measurement tape. She got the rest while they were talking.]
Only because he believes he offended someone important. Which...in the face of such a thing, makes him ruder.
I am no one. Just the woman making the garment you so desire.
no subject
[ Ozymandias can attest to that. ]
no subject
[People who know her can attest to this, loudly.]
In any case, I'm Caren. You can put your shirt on now.
no subject
Nice to meet you, Caren. You got what you need?
no subject
All the numbers, yes. All we need is to discuss payment, and what customization you want to your order.
no subject
[ Hopping down from the stool, Stiles makes a beeline for the counter without prompting – he’s antsy to hear how much this will cost him. ]
So, what’re the numbers?
no subject
Pullover sweatshirt, rush job...I can sell it to you at twenty thousand.
If you want a zipper, or enchantments, it'll be closer to forty five.
no subject
[ Imagine the sound of his jaw dropping. Or his wallet sobbing. Or his hopes and dreams breaking. ]
That’s – are you kidding me!?
[ Stiles pillows his head in his arms on the counter, groaning. ]
Okay. Okay. How much does a NON rush job cost?
[ And then, because even though this is already stretching his limited funds he’s endlessly curious: ] And what kind of enchantments…?
no subject
[She smiles down at him. Poor Stiles.]
Fifteen hundred. Less if you're able to provide the material.
no subject
…Let’s do the non-rush job, [ he sighs, defeated. ] How long do you think it’ll take?
