[ Berserker falls silent. It's not as if death bothers him -- he's very, very familiar with death. He slaughtered entire armies when he was alive, killed his closest friend, and his own son. He's experienced death himself. Now it's...different, though. Now he actually cares.
When he does finally speak, his voice is softer, gentler. ]
[ He shrugs that off with a weary chuckle, feet careful in their steps as they continue to go. It's... something, really, now that it's getting more and more closer to it. Not as easy to just be all whatever about it when certain PREPARATIONS and all need to be made. No, not funeral shit. But what to do when he wakes up a full vampire and not knowing how he's going to be or feel. That's what's been weighing on his mind as of late. ]
Thinking about restraining myself when I die.
[ It seems extreme but he's a hunter, he knows vampires and monsters. ]
Probably not with silver as it's likely to aggravate me more from the pain when I wake. [ And the last thing anyone wants is a newly turned pissed off vampire ] But I want to be sure that I won't hurt anyone. I just... don't know how I'm going to be.
Will it be better or worse if you're restrained? Will you just fight the restraints and try to lash out at anyone that's near? Will it just make you more angry to be tied down and therefore more dangerous?
[ Berserker doesn't mean to interrogate him, it's just what he ends up doing. He finds the weak spot and digs at it. If it's too cruel or pointlessly so, he won't, so he sees some benefit in this line of questioning.
It's either that or I end up fighting anyone in my way and possibly hurting someone.
[ And tearing their throat out for blood. Not that... he knows that's what will happen but... it's better safe than sorry. ]
I don't even know if that's what will happen but I'd rather not risk it. [ To which he smiles a bit ] Besides, I'm counting on my bonded to level me out if that actually is a thing.
[ To bring him back to himself. Which, he then comes to look to Berserker then as they go. ]
Did you... want to be there? Want me to... tell you when it's time?
[ There's zero hesitation, just a firm declaration. ]
I made a promise to you when we bonded. It's better that I be there. You'll be thirsty, won't you? [ This time, it's not cruel in anyway. His voice is softer, gentler. ] Better that I'm there to let you feed, right?
[ Slowly, he stops with the dragon and still leans heavily against him. His breathing is low, much as his heartbeat is. But he chooses to ignore both those factors and, instead, falls silent as he closes his eyes. Listening. Searching. ]
I don't... hear their heartbeats inside. So it's just us.
Alright...If you want me to stay with you until one of them returns, I can do that, too.
[ He's got no immediate plans and ... well, he's putting a lot of faith in Flat to not turn the house into a smouldering pile of ashes, but that's a problem for later. Taking care of Trevor is worth that risk. ]
[ Even as he asks, he begins the slow movements towards the front of the place, knowing it to be unlocked as a hand carefully reaches for the doorknob and he twists it open to let them inside. ]
Probably going to get some place a bit bigger soon. Maybe. [ A beat, careful with stepping inside ] Alucard's working on a basement sort of thing for me. You know. Hiding from the sunlight and all.
[ The help is appreciated and, honestly, the second he catches sight of the couch within the place he shares with two of his Bonded, he carefully drops himself down to it with a sigh and just... sits there. Arms draped over his lap. Hunched over just a touch. ]
[ And he lets himself be drawn in. Not only because he feels too tired to object, but because he doesn't want to and really... he wants this. Even if it's just for a moment. So, with letting his head fall against the dragon's shoulder, he smiles as eyes fall shut, a quiet hum thrumming within the back of his throat. ]
[ He lingers for a bit longer, stroking his back for a moment before moving to sit beside him. There's plenty he could say to reassure him about what's to come, but he doesn't say anything at all. In the end, it's meaningless to say such things. Berserker settles for giving him more physical comfort -- that says far more than any words possibly can. ]

[ That's a THING around here? Like... a witch thing?? Well, shooting star the more you know. ]
Guess I might have to at this rate.
[ Even though he's pretty sure he's going to kick the bucket before he can get himself one of those. And, speaking of that... ]
I've been... sort of... discussing what to do about that. [ A beat ] When I go.

[ Be thirsty, he means and, honestly, it probably IS better that Berserker be there so he can... feed and hopefully calm down quickly after. ]
But, I'll let you know. [ When he's finally dying. ] Thanks.
[ For not wanting to let him have to go through it alone. ]

[ As they reach Trevor's home, Berserkers a little reluctant to just let him go. ]
Will you be alright from here or do I need to help you in so you don't end up on the stoop all day?

Guess I wouldn't mind a little help in.

[ Berserker's careful to support Trevor fully as they make their way inside. He's not going to let go of him until he's told to, at this rate. ]
Hm...There are worse fates than a room in the basement.

Shut up...

I know.
[ He can feel it through the bond. ]
