[CLOSED]

Who: Diana & Akko
When: After Faoilleach & before the full moon on the 9th.
Where: The Coven
What: Bonding Ceremony
Warnings: None expected!

[It only made sense, really.

Between herself and Akko, they could easily enter into a bond and not have to worry about the disastrous side-effects. The fact that they could do this so early in their time in the city was another benefit. The reality of it, however, involved more than just pragmatism. While Diana was largely receptive to the idea of a bond, she wouldn't want to pick just anyone.

Akko, on the other hand, was so very precious to her.

Honestly? There was no one else that she was even interested in Bonding with, if not with Akko.

She didn't want to see her suffer or struggle. And if the two of them could work together for each other's benefit, then why not?

With the full moon approaching in just a few day's time, it was as good a time as any.

The two stood outside the large doors, looking at each other one more time before Diana reached for Akko's hand.]

Ready? We'll be beginning the ceremony once we go inside.

[Choosing Diana as someone to Bond with makes the most sense.]

[Diana is not her best friend. Compared to her friendships with Sucy and Lotte, her friendship with Diana is actually pretty shallow. But none of that is actually reflective of Diana herself. Really, it's just a side effect of all that lost time when Akko let a bad first impression color her opinion and assume the worst. Now that she knows how wrong she was though... Bonds are supposed to be about balance. Or at least, that's what they were saying that night they both arrived in Aefenglom. And while she's arguably much closer to her dormmates than Diana, the person who probably has the best chance at balancing Akko out is Diana. As opposite as their temperaments often are, their goals, in the end, seem to always align with each other. And that sort of push from either one of them, Akko thinks, will help them get through all of this. Whatever this world decides to throw at them.]

[She takes the offered hand and nods. Just once. Trying to seem just as cool and confident as Diana is about all this despite part of her feels a little nervous. Magic's become a part of Akko's world, but all this...pomp and circumstance, the ritual? Those are things more firmly rooted in Diana's world than Akko's. When it comes to taking the lead here, it's not going to be Akko for a change.]

Let's do this! We can get something to eat after still, right?

[Akko’s nerves tick up just a bit stepping into this room because she is so absurdly out of her element when it comes to this level of formality with magic. But... But… It’s still magic. As nervous as she might feel, there is a stronger sense of excited giddiness. She might not be able to fake it and be like Diana for all that long now that they’re in here, whatever cool facade she was angling for melting away instantly as she looks all around them. But in a way, sliding into that delight, soaking it all in as the circle and the ritual are prepared? That’s as natural as breathing to Akko and it makes her relax in her own way almost instantly.]

[Her attention goes back to Diana at the question.]

[Vows?]

Um, [Oh! Right.] I think so.

[Was she supposed to write things down? Akko realizes belatedly that maybe she should have written something down if that’s what she’s supposed to do. Well, maybe it’s fine? It’s probably fine.]

[Akko rolls her shoulders a little. Whatever she can do off the cuff is probably going to be more genuine than anything she’d try to sit down and write anyway.]
