Who: Zero and Randy Orlando
When: Faoilleach
Where: Felicitous Fancies
What: Getting paid to go on your first real date isn’t a bad way to start.
Warnings: ...with these two, there’s probably at least sexual innuendo
[Zero wasn’t particularly interested in money— although a little wouldn’t hurt. But admitting the real reason is that she wanted to go on a date with this man was... worse. Way worse. That is, however, closer to the truth. He’ll if she knows what she’s doing. She has no experience with dates, just the stuff that usually comes after.
After all he did for her last month, she owed him though. She... liked... him, as much as she would admit. And she wanted to try to not fuck this up.
Her expectations for herself are reasonably low, however. But she actually puts some effort into buying a new dress. It’s no less revealing in certain areas but— she knows he likes that anyway— and it’s a little more dressy than her normal clothes. But it’s clear just in the way she sits there waiting that she’s out of her element... but trying.]

...hey.

[When he shows up, he slings an arm around her, before taking the seat opposite her at the table. Is it cheesy? Yes. Is he an idiot? Also yes. Is that going to stop him? No way in hell.]
Hey gorgeous. Fancy running into you here.

First date I’ve been on ever. No pressure.
[That isn’t a lie though. Although he knows her well enough in having to deal with her that he might understand at least fifty percent of the problem— and he’s still here anyway.]
But I think we’ve both surprised one another by now.

[And she probably did. Randy had been out of the Red Constrllation long enough to be able to settle into a relatively ordinary life. That includes things like dates. Maybe Zero hadn’t been so lucky?]
[Which means that he owes her a good time.]
Plenty. And I’ll make sure to make tonight one you’ll never forget.

[There’s a lot of history there. Most would probably consider it pretty dark. For her, she’s accepted it a long time and can joke dryly about it.]
Yet here I am, living the impossible dream. Lucky me.
[No one had ever given her a reason to want something like this before. Sure maybe she admitted that it was crazy on her part to even think about it. But— here she was. Being here right now, foolish or not, is something she’s genuinely... happy about.]
Trust me, I won’t forget it.

[Instead, he’s going to abruptly get out of his seat, and offer Zero his hand. If he’s going to make this a night she doesn’t forget, he’s going to do it in the most Randy Orlando way possible.]
Hey, I have an idea. Let’s dance.
[Literally nobody here is dancing.]

[Literally no one else is dancing. But behind the incredulous tone, she chuckling a little bit. After all, neither of them were exactly "normal".]
Sure. Why the heck not.
[She takes his hand, letting herself get pulled out of her chair for a dance.]
