kitchenware shop: OTA

[ lance is here staring at all the kitchenware. does he look like he's here to shop? not particularly. it looks more like...he's admiring all the silverware, actually. they're spick and span, glimmering in the light...

they're perfect. lance can't resist them. he doesn't know why, but he can't look away. the shopkeeper's hands seem tied with customers, so now is the perfect time for lance to do his thing.

lance looks from side to side, and when he thinks nobody's looking, he picks up a spoon and starts to slide it into his pants pocket. ]

[ lance needs money. and what better way to make money than to do speed dating for a second time!!! ...he's not exactly looking forward to it 100%, because he met some real weird people there, but it's a fast and easy way to make some cash to buy some necessities. and lord knows he desperately needs those.

so he's here at the brothel, trying not to blush at all the pretty ladies around -- he's here to make money. he gets paired up with someone who's also here to make some quick cash, and he leans back on his chair, taking in a deep breath. his cheeks are still pretty red, but he thinks focusing on his partner will (or will not) make things a little easier. he cracks a smile at whoever's sitting across of him. ]

clothes shopping: OTA

[ lance can also be found doing some clothes shopping. he's gotta stock up on outfits, after all -- casual ones on lazy days, stuff to wear to bed, clothes to wear on any potential dates... he managed to grab a few pieces with keith and soren, somehow, despite not having money on him -- but he's back at it again with actual currency this time.

lance finds a nice shirt that he opts to try on. he looks pretty excited about his choice, too, and he heads to the fitting room to try it on.

a few moments pass, and then suddenly, there's the sound of something tearing along with a panicked shriek from the fitting room area. ]

the worst solution ever: open to voltron house + any visitors, night of the full moon

[ so. if you were hoping to use the bathroom downstairs closest to the entrance to the voltron house, you're out of luck.

those who move closer to the bathroom will start to hear the sounds of water sloshing around accompanied by a deep, heavy sigh. the lights are on, the door is open -- seems like someone didn't care much about privacy. if anyone dares to peek in, they'll see no one other than lance himself, sitting in the tub, looking rather...frazzled. worried about something. no, he is not wearing pants, but the suds in the tub are pretty high so you wouldn't be able to tell.

when he sees someone nearby, he'll lift his head up and look at the newcomer before holding his hand out to say "stop" before they can get any closer. }

I'm not gonna say no to company, but stay right where you are and don't come any closer!

[ unless you want to see him with no pants on????????? ]

under the sea: OTA (full moon)

[ those who are near the ocean at some point during the full moon will see a shark-like tail peeking out of the water in the shallows. quickly, it goes under -- and then lance's head and shoulders pop out of the water.. his eyes have gone dark, pupils bright blue. his eyes narrow at whoever approaches, and he snarls a little, teeth sharp. he doesn't look like he's about to attack, but he certainly doesn't look happy to have company. ]

It's probably not as bad as what my friend and I tried to do back where we're staying. I tried staying in a tub and she put salt in the water.

[Connor smiles wider, enough to show some of those needle-sharp teeth.]

[Though at the time, he'd felt pretty bad for making Justine haul him all that way.]

You know, just regular water will suffice for a Merrow. I have a pool in my backyard and it isn't filled with saltwater.

Wait -- really?

[ oh. OH. well that is...a life-changing fact, god. ]

And we wasted all our salt on that bath earlier, too! Quiznak.

Well, at least it was only one bath.

[It could have gotten expensive if they'd done it several times.]

Quiznak?

[Some kind of exclamation?]

[ ...you know, for all the times he's said quiznak here, connor is one of the -- if not the first person to ask him about it. ]

Oh, yeah, it's an Altean swear word.

[ he says like connor knows what an altean is. does he? ]

What's an Altean?

[He looks expectantly at Lance. Then, under his breath, he murmurs it again. "Quiznak." It's like Lance has just taught a child the word fuck or something. It's new and interesting!]

Great question, my man. An Altean's kind of like...well, the best comparison I can think of is an elf! They've got the same ears, and Alteans have these little markings under their eyes.

[ he touches just below the corners of his eyes and grins. ]

One of them's actually here right now. Her name's Princess Allura!

[Connor nods, and brightens at the mention of Allura.]

I've met her. So you're from the same world?

[He takes note of that. Strange, how some people arrive alone and others don't.]

Nice! She's pretty great.

[ a tinge of admiration as he says that before he nods. ]

Yeah, we are. We're here with two others from our world, too. Keith and Shiro, if you've met them.

I haven't met them, no. Did they just arrive, too?

[He moves to float on his back, his tail twitching ever so slightly as he drifts beside Lance to keep him from floating too far away. His eyes are still focused on the other Merrow, though.]

Keith did, yeah. Not sure about Shiro, though -- I think he was here before us?

[ who knows. not lance! ]

You have any friends from home here, Connor?

[Connor brightens at the question.]

I do. His name is Hank. I don't suppose you've spoken with him, he tends to keep to himself.

[He holds up his hand, a holographic image of Hank appearing in his palm.]

This is him, incase you ever meet him.

Hank...

[ he looks at the image for about two seconds before he pulls back and shakes his head. ]

Nope, never seen him before. Is he a Monster, too?

No, he's a Witch. We're Bonded.

[He lowers the hand, the picture fading.]

He used his magic to make me a pool in the garden. You should come over and swim with me some time. It's a nice pool.

[Littered with all sorts of shiny coins for Merrow to play with- though Connor knows exactly how many are there, and will know if anyone takes one. He knows the urge to take pretty things can be strong in Merrow.]

Do you have a Bonded yet?

[Maybe if he does, he won't want to steal anything. Connor is protective of his coin hoard.]

A pool? Yeah, I'm in!

[ lance is...well. he is bonded, but it's to another monster. will that help with his urges? probably not. ]

I am, but she's another monster. Her name's Marie. She's really sweet!

Marie? I've met her before.

[She was very nice.]

You should consider a Witch Bond, though. Isn't Allura a Witch?
