[ lance is here staring at all the kitchenware. does he look like he's here to shop? not particularly. it looks more like...he's admiring all the silverware, actually. they're spick and span, glimmering in the light...
they're perfect. lance can't resist them. he doesn't know why, but he can't look away. the shopkeeper's hands seem tied with customers, so now is the perfect time for lance to do his thing.
lance looks from side to side, and when he thinks nobody's looking, he picks up a spoon and starts to slide it into his pants pocket. ]

[ lance needs money. and what better way to make money than to do speed dating for a second time!!! ...he's not exactly looking forward to it 100%, because he met some real weird people there, but it's a fast and easy way to make some cash to buy some necessities. and lord knows he desperately needs those.
so he's here at the brothel, trying not to blush at all the pretty ladies around -- he's here to make money. he gets paired up with someone who's also here to make some quick cash, and he leans back on his chair, taking in a deep breath. his cheeks are still pretty red, but he thinks focusing on his partner will (or will not) make things a little easier. he cracks a smile at whoever's sitting across of him. ]

clothes shopping: OTA
[ lance can also be found doing some clothes shopping. he's gotta stock up on outfits, after all -- casual ones on lazy days, stuff to wear to bed, clothes to wear on any potential dates... he managed to grab a few pieces with keith and soren, somehow, despite not having money on him -- but he's back at it again with actual currency this time.
lance finds a nice shirt that he opts to try on. he looks pretty excited about his choice, too, and he heads to the fitting room to try it on.
a few moments pass, and then suddenly, there's the sound of something tearing along with a panicked shriek from the fitting room area. ]

the worst solution ever: open to voltron house + any visitors, night of the full moon
[ so. if you were hoping to use the bathroom downstairs closest to the entrance to the voltron house, you're out of luck.
those who move closer to the bathroom will start to hear the sounds of water sloshing around accompanied by a deep, heavy sigh. the lights are on, the door is open -- seems like someone didn't care much about privacy. if anyone dares to peek in, they'll see no one other than lance himself, sitting in the tub, looking rather...frazzled. worried about something. no, he is not wearing pants, but the suds in the tub are pretty high so you wouldn't be able to tell.
when he sees someone nearby, he'll lift his head up and look at the newcomer before holding his hand out to say "stop" before they can get any closer. }
I'm not gonna say no to company, but stay right where you are and don't come any closer!

under the sea: OTA (full moon)
[ those who are near the ocean at some point during the full moon will see a shark-like tail peeking out of the water in the shallows. quickly, it goes under -- and then lance's head and shoulders pop out of the water.. his eyes have gone dark, pupils bright blue. his eyes narrow at whoever approaches, and he snarls a little, teeth sharp. he doesn't look like he's about to attack, but he certainly doesn't look happy to have company. ]

[ He's almost relieved. Almost. Thus far it seems like Lance hasn't been hurt, but that doesn't ease Yuma's concern just yet. When Lance waves him over, Yuma takes a closer look and...
Oh. That...okay, yeah, no wonder there was such a racket. His eyes go wide for a moment, and he can't help a wince. ]
Are you okay? That sounded like it was pretty painful...
[ Yuma is careful to keep his voice down so he doesn't draw attention; that's the last thing Lance needs right now. Luckily for Yuma, his own changes are much more subtle, but who knows how long that luck will last. ]

Okay, it wasn't that painful. You know what hurts more? How much this is gonna hurt my wallet.
[ because he's going to have to pay for this, and he barely has any cunes left to spare. ]

Yeah, the store owners probably aren't going to like that... I'm glad you're alright, though.
[ His tone is quite sympathetic, here; almost apologetic. Better Lance's shirt than Lance himself, right? Though it really is a shame. That shirt looks pretty nice, to the point where Yuma's a little scared to look at the price tag. He's not exactly swimming in cunes himself. ]
I wouldn't have expected it, either. I didn't know the changes could be this...sudden. [ Suddenly he feels very fortunate that things have been gradual on his end. ]

It's worth a try. There's a lot of mirrorbound in the city by now, right? They've probably dealt with this sort of thing before.
[ Whether or not they'll be willing to accommodate is another story, but...well, honesty is the best policy, right? Worst case scenario, maybe he could help Lance cover it. He's not exactly rich himself, but he wouldn't mind sparing some cash if he's in a pinch. Lance is his friend, after all. ]

[ he lets out a 'quiznak' under his breath, slips on his original shirt and steps out of the dressing room. man, sometimes he hates being honest, but yuma's got a good point. he turns to him, voice still hushed: ]
And if they ask for payment, what then? I don't have enough cash for this.

[ Oh geez, Lance; he already doesn't get why people do that normally. But in a place like this, where monster changes can really mess you up like that?
...to be fair, Yuma wouldn't have thought to keep an eye out for that either, but still ]

lance peaks behind yuma to look for the employee. there's one manning the shop right now, sitting behind the counter. he's clearly not paying attention....and that's because he's asleep! how he slept through lance's screaming, only the astrals know. but. but.
lance looks at yuma and puts his index finger to his lips. shhh. he then gestures at yuma to follow him as he starts slowly tiptoeing out of the fitting room....
except the floors are wooden and slightly creaky.

At first, Yuma wonders why Lance would ask him to be so quiet. Then he notices that the employee in charge has somehow managed to doze off. How, he really isn't sure. Knowing this world, it could be anything. But then Lance starts sneaking off and

Well, Yuma doesn't want his friend to get in trouble. But letting him sneak off like this isn't the right thing to do, either. He's not really sure which route to take. He settles for glancing between the store owner and Lance with a wide-eyed, questioning expression that can only be described as "What are you doing?!" He even manages to mouth as much at him. Lance, this really is not right, please don't do what he thinks you're trying to do... ]

well. the guilt's starting to settle in, now. he stops where he stands and turns back to look at yuma. he has the eyes of a guy who's having an inner battle with himself, and he looks back and forth between the employee, yuma, and the door. he does this several times, shoulders slumping before he lets out a sigh and mouths, alright, fine.
he walks over to the counter, knocks on it a bit. the employee wakes up. after some chatting, the employee writes lance a bill for repairs. surprisingly...well, it isn't as expensive as he thought it'd be? it's the aefenglom equivalent to fifty dollars.
he turns to yuma, gesturing at him to follow him out. ]
The guy said I can pay it off all at once or give him a few cunes each week.

When Lance gestures him to follow, Yuma straightens up and makes his way over. And, upon hearing what they've offered Lance, he offers an encouraging smile. ]
Sounds like they were pretty understanding about it. A few cunes each week doesn't sound too bad.
[ And now that he knows this, Yuma is filing this information away for later himself. He's not really sure what changes he's going to be dealing with, but it's handy to know that the local businesses are, at the very least, accommodating for this sort of thing. ]
