...wait, who prepared this poster? The vibe it gives off is totally wrong... ah, well, it will do! ♥

I. Welcome! ♥

On Feoveuer 14th regulars of DiplomaTea will immediately notice that the place looks different. Fresh flowers, garlands and paper decorations are everywhere, all in lovely shades of pink and red. Heart-shaped confetti is falling from the ceiling, magicked to disappear shortly after touching the floor so it would not make a mess. Quiet music is filling the whole cafe, one of the many masterpieces of Amadeus Mozart and a particual favorite of Marie who picked this particular song to play. Even those who have missed Marie's flyers and announcements about the upcoming event would definitely notice that something joyous is going on inside, why not check it out and join everyone?

If you haven't heard before, the posters will explain everything. Today's event, The Festival of Love celebrates the holiday known as Valentine's Day some Mirrorbound might be familiar with. This is the day to celebrate love in all shapes and forms. Spend a wonderful, romantic evening with your partner... or your friends and family, because these kinds of love are important too! Or get some sweets and eat them all by yourself, because self love is also important! All money collected during today's event will go to aid the refugees and help those who have been affected during last month - celebration of love for your fellow woman, man and everyone else.

a. Preparations ♥

Of course an event this big cannot happen without the help of many. Making and putting up the decorations, enchanting the confetti and music, building the booths, preparing the tables, all of this and much more took almost the whole previous day. Everett will also defintely need part-timers to help tending to the increased number of custoers during the event. If you visited DiplomaTea during that time, you probably couldn't enjoy your drink in peace... or maybe you were roped into helping? Marie gives you a pleading look. Every pair of hands is useful, you know!

II. The Festival of Love ♥

Kissing Booths ♥

Two hastily made but lovingly decorated wooden booths have been placed on DiplomaTea porch. For supporting the cause with a small fee of 100 cunes the person inside will gladly give you a lovely kiss... though you are, of course, welcome to throw an even bigger amount into the donation box! The Mirrorbound staff the booths in shifts so nobody will be forced to sit out the whole event and more volunteers are always welcome... come on, don't you want to support the charitable cause? Marie is quite persuasive, she might find a way to convince you even if it's not something you would have usually agreed to ♥ Or maybe your crush is currently in the booth and this is your big chance? Either way, thank you for your support, good people!

Bake Sale ♥

Are you skilled with the cooking appliances? Would you like these skills to serve a good cause? The tables just next to the main entrance of DiplomaTea have been filled with cakes, pastries and other kinds of sweets donated by Mirrorbound - help yourself to some! You have to pay for it, of course, but all the money collected helps the charitable cause! For those who are not fond of sweet things, savory and spicy snacks are also found on the table.

Did you bring a dish? Would you like to buy something? Or maybe you are just staffing the tables and helping with the bake sale itself? All kinds of help are appreciated! Are you culinarily challenged but refuse to admit it? Thank you for your donation anyway, it is going on sale! Did anyone see the Fae who donated these cupcakes? These appear to be enchanted and eating one will cause you to say the opposite what you mean for fifteen minutes. What do you mean, Marie, we are putting these on sale as well? Could it be... that Fae was... No, impossible!

Auction ♥

Want to support the cause with a bigger sum? As a part of the main event, a couple of items will be auctioned. To show their support, the Coven donated several valuables that could definitely be of use for both Witches and Monsters:
an ornate golden ring Fae-blessed to provide the wearer 12 hours of invisibility (which does not have to be used consecutively, it's 'turned on and off' by rubbing the stone set into it, and does not conceal the wearer from other Fae)
a suit set and a dress that will both transform magically to fit whatever Monster form the wearer has (and will also take on the wearer's color and design preferences)
a book on imbuing baked goods with minor luck spells - good and bad both.

It can make you give off a charming aura, perfect if you are still looking for someone to spend the evening with or trying to grab the attention of that particular person. Or maybe you are celebrating self love and just want a spell that will allow you to eat a lot of sweets without consequences tonight? Perfect! Another idea? Be sure to communicate it well, you would not want to end up with an enchanted painting that gives a different effect you originally wanted... though even if you do, the magic will only work for a few hours. You can wait that long, can you?

Magic Show ♥

Trucy Wright, one of the recent arrivals to Aefenglom is on stage and about to perform her splendid magic show! Huh, that's nothing special in Aefenglom, you might think. Magic is an everyday thing for every Witch after all. However, this young lady here is not a Witch, so how does she do it? With totally real magic, of course! Get your seats and pay close attention to everything she does, but you are not very likely to notice anything - this girl is a professional, after all. In using real magic, of course! Or maybe you have similar skills? You are welcome to join her on stage and perform your own well-practiced trick. If it's not as well-practiced as you thought... well, at least you made the audience laugh? In need of a charming assistant? Just pick someone more or less willing from the audience!

III. Cleanup ♥

Tired after a busy day? Congratulate yourself on a job well done, we managed to collect a nice sum that will certainly help a lot! But before you can rest in your bed, there's more to be done. Taking off decorations, removing the confetti enchantments, washing the dishes, collecting the trash and cleaning the whole place. We cannot leave Everett alone with this mess after he was so nice to allow the usage of DiplomaTea for today's event, can we? You can stay and help, can you? Maybe there are some leftowers from the bake sale to sweeten the deal?

[Caren tilted her head. Towa is clearly friends with all sorts, but Caren's expression...it's a mix of curious and teasing as she asks:]

Where would you want me to kiss you Towa? In public, no less?

[CAREN YOU'RE MAKING IT SOUND LEWD.]

[It's gentle, sweet. And she can feel the heat of his face against her fingers, and her finger beans. He's eager.

Good.

And she was right too. Sweetness is the way to make him melt-not a rough, teasing play she could have given him instead. No, she keeps her kiss gentle, nuzzling soft as she lingered against his lips. And, too, she gave him the lightest of touches against his pulse, pressing a little more, a little more-before letting up, and letting her fingers brush over the hair on his neck.

Just in case. It might have been too much.]

[ In itself the fact they don't have TV isn't.. too surprising. The whole war school part is much more surprising than them lacking certain pieces of technology - there are probably a lot of worlds out there that are either in the past or just not as advanced, so they're missing technology that's common to Asahi.

But still.. ]

You guys have to fight wars and you don't have TV. It sounds like you're getting pretty much every single short end of the stick.

[ It makes her freaking out over having to kiss someone feel kind of dumb in retrospect. ]

Momo-chan's head is full of flowers, though! [Momo says that cheerily, as ever he does when someone decides he's genuinely a dumbass and doesn't just act like one. It's not a perception he shies away from encouraging, because really, the only people whose opinions he genuinely cares about are his friends and his fans. So the implication is that fooling Momo isn't anything to be bragging about.]

It's not nice to bully people just because they're cute, anyway. That just makes you look jealous, so it's a lose-lose, right? Though I guess acting like a teenager about it lends you a certain flavour of cute, too. [Momo holds a hand under his chin, as if considering this definitely intentional scheme of cuteness on Judar's part.]

You've got a good eye. With any luck, the light will show them off a little…

[And then, it'd make sense to put them between the windows, too, wouldn't it.]

I might need a chair for a moment.

[He has wings, but… they're not much use for hovering.]

[Wait til he learns Newt Scamander is partnered to Hiccup Haddock. They're the kings of weird names in Aefenglom.]

I'll try to have it ready by then. Oh- What's your name, by the way? Just in case I do have to have him give it to you.

Uh- I mean, if you mean magic, I can do that too. [Not sure what hocus pocus is but he's learned to look for context clues in his time here. That's just what comes from being from a much less advanced era than most everyone else.]

So, it wards off bad things. Cwyldtid is probably the equivalent here, since- you know. Monsters are people. [But Shades are something you'd want to ward off.] I'm not sure why the burning is necessary, I have a few barrier spells that work just fine, but you're set on it, I could try to figure it out. It'll take some time, though. If you're carrying around a stick you don't want it to break apart the minute you hit something.

[ ... Oh no. That's not right, doesn't sit right with him, will never sit right with him!

He shakes his head, gripping the broom tight in both hands as though it's about to slip off his grasp if he gets distracted for a second. ]

I'd rather stay here some extra time than have you do all the work for me.

[ Dumping work on someone else? Absolutely not. ]

[ Ah.

Well, good thing this isn't his first kiss. But even despite being given that doubtlessly useful piece of advice, Wataru goes stiff as a log, closing his eyes tightly as Lorenz leans in to kiss him. It's not bad, like, not any bit, really. His heart does leaps trying to calm down when they separate, and he can't muster the will to look straight at the other man. ]

It... It's done...?

[ Why is he so awkward dangit- ]

[ A slow nod as he chews the cookie, waiting to finish before thinking of a reply to give her. ]

If I didn't know you liked astronomy, I would have suggested you opened up a pastry shop.

[ He attempts at lighthearted commenting, to dispel the embarrassed blush still displayed on his face. ]

[ The mention of crowds has him internally groan as he resumes his sweeping work. He's not going to crumble and pass out anytime soon if he can help it. ]

That played a part in it. [ He admits. ] Not like I can't manage the workload even under that much pressure, but I didn't really have a true moment of rest with the tasks I've taken upon.

[ Supervising the magic show, helping with the sweets, dealing with the stress of having to share hot cocoa with someone else and feeling things when all he wanted was a break, and... the kissing booth. Marie is really difficult to say no to and that's something he should be more careful about for future events. ]

It was for the refugees, though, so I'm not saying I regret it.

[ They're doing this. He's ready... kind of...? ]

Yeah, uhm... do you want me to take initiative, or...?

[ He's never sure of whether or not the customers want him to stay still or lean in, which is a thing that's hard to get through with words. ]

Yeah, I figured you were a Witch from the neato enchantments.

[ Stiles simply doubts that the mountain ash will perform the same way here the way it would have if prepared by a druid familiar in the art. Maybe he’s best not confusing this guy anymore than he already has, though; sucking back a wistful sigh, Stiles shakes his head at Hiccup. ]

It was a dumb idea. Don’t worry about it, dude. But how do your barrier spells work? Those sound promising.

Of course, I will never turn down a learning experience.

[She always enjoys to learn and is always hungry for knowledge. So this does count but would it be better to say 'thirsty' instead?]

[Okay. Mikasa does let a small smile slip in there, even if she closes her eyes to try and hide it. But Leslie was so serious about it. ]

I'm sure you will. Even if you don't, the ingredients are cheap enough here.

[An oddity in itself. One she shouldn't let herself get too used to. But a small bit of flour possibly going to waste was fine. ]

I guess you're ok.

[ He's teasing. Gently. But, with a look to her, he nods. Slow. ]

Just take it easy. Or else I'll give you a hard time about it.

... Sure it is.

[ He'd press X to doubt more directly, but this isn't exactly the time or place for that. He has better things to direct his energy towards than voicing his doubts that someone's as dumb as they act. He knows plenty of people who're idiots that weren't really- more than he knew idiots that were pretty damn useless most of the time.

Flavor of cute, though... Ugh. ]

Less jealous and more predatory. Maybe it's become something different in your world, or time, or country.

[That is... quite the low bar. But Maria seems to be able to meet it, and she's not quite sure how to feel about it.]

Well, I suppose you have a long list of people you'd like to continue to measure. Don't let me stop you. Unless you're angling for another?

[Truly, he did. The little he had spoken with Mira so far painted her as an interesting individual, like so many inside the city walls. He wanted to get to know her better.]

[They were still close-- barely a breath apart. Lorenz, with brows lifted and violet eyes intent upon his mild mannered coworker, gazed at him in surprise.]

Did you wish for more?

[Wataru was plenty handsome. Lorenz wasn't opposed to the idea.]

Can't the same be said for everyone?

[Making up for the mistakes of generations passed seemed like a universal theme, and Lorenz didn't begrudge his role in his life or in the world.]

None of us live in isolation, Asahi. Even people who have lived in the most gilded halls have something dark lurking behind them. No one's life is perfect.

[ It's essentially as non-judgemental as it could be, as he's not rating on the quality. It was more participation eagerness. Rating people's skill on something that's essentially a job wasn't fair. ]

Mm. The only way I'd angle for more is if you wanted to kiss more, instead of paying for it. For how long my recovery will be, I can't spend too much on any single booth or attraction.

[ Though most of it will undoubtedly go towards the kissing booths. Fauns are gonna faun. ]

[ Honestly, he's got the right idea about the broom slipping out of his grasp if he gets distracted, because Asahi is getting pretty tempted to just grab it from him and somehow shove him out of here, if that's the only way to get him to rest. ]

Seriously? You can take total advantage of someone else this easily, and you still say no? [ ASAHI, DON'T ASSUME MOST PEOPLE ARE THAT TERRIBLE.. ] Are you sure you aren't some angel that accidentally got stuck between us regular mortals?

[She laces her fingers back together delicately. That's her answer to that.] The point is that I don't have to pretend it's not anything it is not to make more money; I am doing only exactly what is expected. What, did you want something romantic?
