[If anyone knows the residents of the house, it might seem strange that such a group have selected a cozy abode for their home in the city. However, it is not to be said that they are unwelcoming (depending on who) and usually when someone comes to visit, there's always a warm cup of tea ready for them...and maybe some food to go along with it. Feels like a crime if someone doesn't get fed. And despite the hardships of the previous month, the house does welcome guests for any particular reasons whether a visit for the soul, a chat to catch up on events, or even maybe go a few rounds with the poor striking dummy in the backyard.

When you live with sword users and have stress, it gets used, ok?

It might be chilly outside but strange enough, the house itself is pretty warm. Just mind the gaelkitten and Flood running around from time to time.]

[Sora snorts at first before he gives a sheepish smile.]

I mean! If they are extensions of you that means that they shouldn't be treated badly either. A hug now and then isn't going to be a bad thing.

I can tell you for a fact it hasn't done anything to deserve hugs, Sora.

[ He's... Not really getting it, is he? ]

[He's really not getting it... Sora lets out a soft breath and shrugs.]

Well, it helped me find you when I fell through my mirror into this world so I'd say that's something that deserves a hug.

One decent deed doesn't really account for much, considering everything else...

[ Maybe Sora has realized by now that Van isn't. Really. Talking about the Flood? ]

[Sora frowns while glancing at Vanitas.]

Of course it does, a good deed is a good deed. Just because there's a little bad doesn't mean that should be forgotten. The fact that it tried is what is important. It means a lot.

[And if it wasn't for the Flood Sora might have never have been able to help Vanitas too.]

Perhaps the act itself was out of self-preservation. If viewed from that angle, then it isn't truly a good deed now is it?

[Sora squints his eyes and stares at Vanitas like he's almost scrutinizing him.]

You're saying something weird now.

[darkcharge]

More like you're too dense to really understand what I'm getting at, brat.

[ Maybe reaching over now to try to pry Sora's arms off of the Flood. ]

I just don't understand you at all.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora fusses and resists the attempt at prying the Flood away.]

Hey-! It's not like I understand a lot about you, either!

[Especially with this big misunderstanding they had.]

If I was guessing you're talking about you and not the Flood.

[darkcharge]

[ No, Sora. Just let the dumb thing go so it can scurry off and leave him alone. ]

You were never really meant to understand. It was never my intention to fully explain myself to anyone.

[ Because, you know, he'd prefer to just disappear and leave everything painful behind. ]

Now let it go already.

[ Not responding to Sora's other comment though. It really goes without saying. ]

[Frowning, he finally relents and lets go of the little creature.]

But I've said so before, I want to know.

[Is that so bad?]

[ Augh, finally. The Unversed is free. It runs off, likely to stay with another person in the household that likes to stew in his misery. And without Sora holding it like that, Vannitas doesn't have to be sort of distracted by the thought of what being held so tight and as if it is something precious feels like...

Instead he scoffs, making himself comfortable on his bed. ]

I still say you won't like what you discover.

[Sora pouts softly. They could argue more about this but Sora feels some tiredness in his shoulders. He reaches up to ruffles his hair and tug on one long rabbit ear before he tugs on the blankets.]

I wanna stay here tonight.

[He's not really asking this time, Sora's staying here tonight.]

[darkcharge]

[ A sigh. ]

Of course you do.

[ Van's tired enough - drained enough - that he doesn't even have the energy to argue. It just makes sense at this point. After all that, it just fits that Sora would want to stay. ]

Go on and make yourself comfortable then, brat.

[Good, Vanitas better not fight with him on it because Sora's not going to change his mind. Although a part of him thinks that Vanitas would have been okay with it either way. This isn't the first time they've shared a bed, after all.

With that Sora crawls into the bed next to his bondmate and curls up in his spot. And yawns. Who knew having a big argument could make Sora this tired. But it's probably has some to do with his new monster growths too.]

Goodnight, Vanitas.

[ It really isn't the first time. Part of his is starting to grow somewhat used to the infrequent interruption of his night.

His eyes follow Sora and he rolls his shoulders. Whatever. What's done is done. Everything is as it is. No sense in dwelling on it now. With that said, Van snaps off the light. ]

Just go to sleep.

[ Which he won't. Van will conjure up a small light so he can continue to read. Then, later, he will also find sleep - either in the bed or on the couch. He isn't picky. ]
