[If anyone knows the residents of the house, it might seem strange that such a group have selected a cozy abode for their home in the city. However, it is not to be said that they are unwelcoming (depending on who) and usually when someone comes to visit, there's always a warm cup of tea ready for them...and maybe some food to go along with it. Feels like a crime if someone doesn't get fed. And despite the hardships of the previous month, the house does welcome guests for any particular reasons whether a visit for the soul, a chat to catch up on events, or even maybe go a few rounds with the poor striking dummy in the backyard.

When you live with sword users and have stress, it gets used, ok?

It might be chilly outside but strange enough, the house itself is pretty warm. Just mind the gaelkitten and Flood running around from time to time.]

[Sora grins warmly when Vanitas finally unroots from his spot. He might feel a little joy about that.]

They're raised to be useful to my goals, so it's not necessary. They'll act as desired. No, unless matters are particularly urgent, when one host dies, I just nap for a few years; 'tis the only break I receive.

[It's not as though he expects anything extravagant or exciting (anything with those descriptors was probably exhausting). And he's not sure what this 'fun' thing is either (sounds unpleasant).]

I'd think that as an Ishgardian, you would've had more than enough of the cold by now. Fortunately, this isn't Coerthas... the weather should eventually improve.

[This is the second time he's come to this house, though he's entirely unfamiliar with the list of people who live here. All he knows is that Emet-Selch does, and if he were to wager a guess... His other Bondmates? Possibly. That is, if he's not living like a hermit all alone. Ha, ha. He snorts at the thought from behind the quaint door, preparing to make his grand entrance.

And then he does what Mettaton does best. He kicks the door open and calls into the house, not seeing any stir of life just yet.]

Yoo-hoo! It's me again!! Did you miss me?? I'm sure you've been aching to continue our discussion... You can't hide from me, darling!

[Hm! Who might he be trying to talk to...? His tone of voice is somehow a mix of playful malice, like he's delivering a threat made sugary sweet by virtue of it coming from his own mouth.

Of course, what Mettaton doesn't know is that it's Mira who's closest to receiving her, uh, surprise company, and that she's fast asleep on the couch. He's considered that she lives here already, based on his previous talks with both her and Emet-Selch... But it's not confirmed. It would be a nicer surprise to find her instead of him, honestly!

Bottom line? He's being mean, and waking Mira. By forcing the door open loudly, with his foot. Hopefully he didn't break it. Mettaton's always had a bad grasp of door etiquette, thanks to his varied history with not needing them and not always using them.]

[The good news is that the door isn't broken so no one needs to do any repairs. The bad news however is that the first thing the metal puca will notice is an angry cat standing on her hind legs growling and hissing at the stranger. She almost crouched down in an attack but it is the words of the hyur, who was startled by the noise that stop her.]

Seven Hells, are we under a bloody attack?!

[How long has she been asleep?! Looking at the clock it barely seemed like twenty minutes but Mira jumps from the couch and rushes to the front door and sees a familiar face. And her cat ready to fight. First things first, grab the minion and make sure she does not attack whoever is here.]

Breezy, what are you doing? Down gaelkitten! [The kitten grumbles as Mira finally takes a look at who has entered and she's surprised. Also wondering if somehow she left the door open but surprised to see a somewhat familiar face.] Mettaton! This is a pleasant surprise!

[...wait, how the hells did he get the address? Why was he here anyway? But even with those questions, it's nice to see the robot outside of horrible settings.]

[Ah, cats. Mettaton likes them. There are entirely too many dogs, where he's from. It's a peculiar cat, but he doesn't seem too threatened by her, especially with Mira coming to defuse the cat's aggression. He regards the pair with a smile far brighter than his tone implied, as if he's changed expressions between his announcement and Mira's appearance.

(If she somehow left the door open, blame it on Mettaton's magical Puca luck for chancing upon it. Fortune favors him, except when it doesn't.)

When Mira makes her appearance and his arrival stops being a concern for a possible household attack, Mettaton waves at her. He has both of his hands again, and seems to have had some repairs by this point, at least... Though he still has some bandages wrapped around his legs, where there's tissue.]

Mira! Hey there, gorgeous. I hope I didn't interrupt anything... Have you been doing well, since the trial and... such?

[Such. Loaded word. Iuneril was a lot, and there's a lot to recover from. He invites himself in, shutting the door behind him out of consideration for keeping out the cold... At least there's that.]

Yeah.

[ Everything is 300% more awkward after seeing that smile. He almost wishes he didn't.

But he also wishes to see it again, because this guy really needs to look happy more often. ]

How have you been...? You look alright.

[ More than alright since he heard the laugh, but... vague is better... ]

[Fun is when you have the opposite of grump and despair. It's one of those pesky positive emotions after all.]

Constant snow is an issue but there is always a positive to the cold; it seems to bring people together.

[In one way or another. The warmth of people can indeed be a nice thing as Hades should know by now. And besides, she may melt the snowbank in her condition.]

[Breezy simply looks unamused as Mira sets her down and shooes the cat to go somewhere else. But the dark knight is a bit surprised at the petname, not used to hearing such a thing other than--never mind.]

No no, you haven't! [What is sleeping after the past few weeks?] I have been faring fine and it has been quiet here.

[Minus the destroying of the striking dummy in the backyard, it has been just a quiet time for rest. Except for the one talking now, her face showing the lack of it.]

I did watch that. I was surprised that at the verdict but only because they went through with it.

[They deserved Death. But Mira feels no joy or glee, she never does but there was no other outlet. But she's sure some of those nobles in jail now will remember never to touch another again.]

But where are my manners. Would you like to sit down?

[The way he says it though, it's almost mild. Even if you are part of an infestation, he'd curl up with you anyway, Mira. And true, a few more of her and perhaps they'll solve the problems of Winter.]

[That gets a light swat to his chest because excuse you, she's no rat. A light one just because of his tone which for someone like the ascian, it's downright polite. In it's own weird way.

That and it barely has any strength to it because sick.]

I do recall you seem to like the idea of hibernation.

[It's just your regular reminder of being completely beneath him, not really alive, etc. He makes a quietly amused sound at the swat, even as it does serve to remind him of how weak she'd become. His arm around her tightens, for a moment.

Despite what she was capable of, she was alarmingly mortal, sometimes.]

...What can I say? Sleeping is, perhaps, my favorite pastime.

[Mira finds nothing wrong with this to be honest. She finds it rather comforting if someone were to ask her.]

[It shouldn't have been comforting, but it was. Enough that he found that he wouldn't mind continuing the habit even after they both were well.]

[ Sora's got to release his hands first. Vanitas looks at them pointedly with a raised brow. ]

[ He... Still isn't sleeping well. But there are potions and remedies for that. Anything to knock him out so that his mind doesn't race in the middle of the night.

Wataru does look awkward, huh? Grappling for something to say are we? ]

[Mira can forsee nights where someone will be climbing into another's bed. Maybe a lot of the time. Who knows.]

[ After that, Vanitas rolls his eyes. ]

Some job. No vacation time. All work and no play...

Now whose fault is that? It's almost like someone tried to warn you and, amazingly, you are just as stubborn as that very same person.

[ Obviously he is talking about himself. Though Vanitas had tried to get Mira to slow it down and rest a little. Not his fault that she hadn't bothered to heed any of his warnings.

Though really this only goes to show that everyone here, save maybe Emet-Selch, doesn't know when to stop. Doesn't know when to call it quits because of something like pride or out of commitment to duty.

Van sighs, siting on her bed even though he hadn't been invited inside the room at all. ]

[Oh-- He's still holding these hands-- He lets go quickly.]

Uh. The point is I want to see how much you've learned about healing magic here. You're my bonded, right?

[ Vanitas grumbles, rubbing at his cheek in irritation. And embarrassment. He'll ignore the question itself in favor of putting his hands on a different bush. ]

[ Which is all Sora is going to get out of him at the moment so shush. Let him concentrate. He still has to have a lot of focus to be able to do this. Feeling the flow of energy from the plant. Offering some of his own in return... ]

[Whoops- that slips out of Sora's mouth before he can stop himself. He's heard people call it that term a few times so he's just parroting it back.

But then Vanitas starts casting his magic and Sora can feel the flutter over their wayward bond.

Hopefully, Sora didn't interrupt him too badly with that term use...]

[ The statement does throw him off for a moment. Vanitas shoots Sora a bit of a glare. There really is no need to say things like that!

Dumb kid. Van huffs and his attention returns to the bush.

And, with some time and effort, he bush starts to come back to life. The withered leaves begin to turn green once more. New growth buds on the branches. ]
