Paris and Aeto had stopped for the night, trying to just find a place to breathe and rest before they kept running. They were far enough from the city that no one unsuspecting would be likely to cross them, but the Righteous had made it very clear how badly they needed Paris and his blood, and how willing they were to hunt him until they dragged him back. So they weren't near far enough yet.
They'd found a pond, fresh water which was a bit of a disappointment but couldn't be helped, and Paris looked over the smooth edge to double check and make sure they'd be safe down there for the night, but he swears... there's something else in there. He reaches out to touch it--
--and next thing he knows he and Aeto both are tumbling out of mirror, into a hall of mirrors, with a frightened teenaged boy fleeing into the labyrinth.
For a long moment, neither boy nor ray move, seeming to operate under the instinct that if they don't move it'll fix itself. It does not, and when footsteps of another approach, Paris looks over with wide, very confused blue eyes. Aeto presses herself against his lower legs, making a noise halfway between a yip and a trill at the new intruder.
IV - Food
It's been a few days since either of them have had much in the way of a proper meal (though really, Aeto doesn't actually need it), so the smells of the vendors are immediately appealing. There's a treat that looks like meat on a stick that Paris finds, giving a few chunks to Aeto to gobble on, but the thin pancakes are heaven and Paris almost doesn't want to share. But it seems that's the rule, so if there's someone who looks like they won't bite his head off he'll give them a little smile. "Do you, um. Want some?"
IV - Bath
Unsure of whether or not he would count as a 'monster' thanks to his heritage, as well as the fact that people are very much not sure how to deal with Aeto, Paris settles into one of the co-ed rose baths. And yes, Aeto is joining in too, though the limited space means she can't swim around all that much. Paris smiles apologetically as someone else joins, slipping under the water himself to try and coax her over to him--
--only to bolt back up with wide eyes. "I-- I couldn't breathe." This may seem obvious to anyone else, seeing as he looks human, but he's clearly very disturbed by it.
