There's corruption on my world similar to what we've seen called malevolence. Those who are affected can be purified and returned to their normal forms-- forests regrow, famines and plagues disappear, animals return to being animals, people become people and can learn to heal.

[He looks up.]

But when a seraph falls to malevolence, they don't turn into simple monsters. It's constant pain and suffering that they can't fight by themselves, and it turns them into mindless dragons. They can't be purified once they've reached the final stage. They'll go on for eternity just destroying everything in their paths, only knowing that pain and suffering that drives them.

That's part of the burden of being a seraph. And it's why we all have to take care of each other.
