Who: emil and lalli
When: event time, a lil early

[Things Emil hates: school. Things he's been forced to do since coming here, since some people are whiny and jealous that they aren't Witches: go to class. It's Lalli's fault that Emil is subject to this great and terrible tragedy, attending public school yet again, the bane of his brief existence... but he's played along and done it. It is, as he suspected, boring and everyone there is mean to him, or at least, blandly unimpressed with his lack of magical talent.
So it's both a matter of pride and of spite when he finally makes progress— one whole spell! That he can do all on his own! It's all thanks to his natural brains and not to the class, which probably actually spoiled his talents up until this point and that's why he's so behind in Magic 101. Definitely. This makes the most logical sense.
Either way. Emil learned A Spell, and since he is desperate for encouragement, he needs to show this thing to Lalli ASAP. He has since located Lalli and demanded he come sit in the bedroom and watch in awe as Emil does one whole magic(tm).
That was five minutes ago. He has yet to pop off the spell, but damn if he isn't trying. The next time he fumbles pulling it off, he stares very irritably at his hands, only glancing up at Lalli to make sure he isn't sneaking away. Please, do not leave him in his lowest moment.]
It's— It was working before, I swear! I have it this time, just... wait a minute—
[How EMBARRASSING!!!! Let the ground open and swallow him up here.]
