'Tis a simple answer, though twofold, I'll admit.

[Grabbing a pot and some ingredients, K'rihnn decides to make some sort of meat stew while he talks.]

I took up the lifestyle to further both my skills in combat, and... to try and become a better, braver person. At first, it was in an effort to help better my tribe, to make myself stronger so that I didn't make them weaker, but after a while....

[He shrugs slightly as he puts stock in the pot and starts chopping vegetables.]

Well, after a while, I realized I couldn't go home. I couldn't just put down the title, especially not when we fled to Ishgard. Too many came to rely on me. So... I stopped thinking about becoming a better person for my tribe, and started thinking about becoming a better person for my own sake.
