Phew! The skin binding his fur to bone is pretty minimal, without much blood to speak of. So it would take some pretty impressive fleas to get at his blood, given it's either in his bones or all but nonexistent.

"Outrageously hypocritical," Papyrus agrees, shrill with that very outrage. His scowling continues, and his footsteps are decidedly more stomping than mere footfalls. "I thought better of them. I thought they thought better of them! And... And I don't know why I'm so mad about it!"

He throws his arms up and grumbles enough to growl. It's not as though it's news to him that humans can be awful. At minimum, he's a lifelong underground denizen. And he knows a couple of neighbors in the underground are gone forever, thanks to his brief and departed friend. And, even in this city, there's a pretty stark contrast who lives in which areas...
